good question which no one can tell you the answer unless you have the test

there are 66 million people in the country and it would be impossible to test everyone......the rule is.....if you have symptoms of cold or flu....don't take the risk...….assume you have it and take precautions not to pass it on........it does not really matter if you are positive or negative when you are unwell it just means you have to fear the worst and look after yourself the best you can.....should the symptoms become overwhelming you can ring the emergency numbers and will be taken into intensive care.....whats important is that people are obeying the guidelines put forward....

Individual to individual....most of the cr4p written about it is guesswork, until you know you have it you dont know the symptoms. There is no future in this situation, no facts out there you can rely on, people do not know thats why you keep hearing words like perhaps, maybe, possibly from the professionals, they aint gota fecking clue where this is taking us and i am even more certain geysers on a greyhound betting forum are even more  fecking clueless

Supervalue putting up clear plastic sheeting in front of the till girls as a barrier to prevent infection

But wearing face masks , which are in essence barriers , are not doing any good so dont bother wearing them

Every fecking doctor or nurse you see on the telly has a facemask on

It is a first for everyone irish and we just need to keep calm and disciplined and see it through. All this panicking whether it be toilet rolls or wild speculation does nothing but harm.

Would these people be dying anyway?
The figures for coronavirus are eye-watering. But what is not clear - because the modellers did not map this - is to what extent the deaths would have happened without coronavirus.

Of course, this will never truly be known until the pandemic is over, which is why modelling is very difficult and needs caveats.

But given that the old and frail are the most vulnerable, would these people be dying anyway?

Every year more than 500,000 people die in England and Wales: factor in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and the figure tops 600,000.

The coronavirus deaths will not be on top of this. Many would be within this "normal" number of expected deaths. In short, they would have died anyway.

It was a point conceded by Sir Patrick at a press conference on Thursday when he said there would be "some overlap" between coronavirus deaths and expected deaths - he just did not know how much of an overlap.

So its a bigger annual cull of geriatrics than normal case , thats o k then.

I think you will find its far worse than what we know mate, banks and governments sh1tting themselves... Moreso than in the crash

Missus works on the frontline looking after the sick, old and vulnerable, wearing the protective gear

Apparently, we will reach the spike in a fortnight or so. After that, hopefully, things will start to improve slightly and slowly

Let's just hope the whole thing blows over sooner rather than later
