I hope ppl will forgive me a little self indulgence here with this post but it's just to highlight how a simple post from a knowledgable forum member, that Chris was, can make a material difference to your life.
After diva had won the notts comp we sent her to bellers for the oaks..a trip unsuitable for sure but it seemed like a must do option at the time. Chris's mate did late sectionals at all trial sessions and he went out of his way to message me after her trial there to say that divas late sectionals were exceptional,it may not have seemed much to him at the time but the fact he went out of his way to tell me the figures encouraged us to step her up in trip asap as soon as the oaks campaign was done which resulted in her winning debut over the trip on towcester opening night. It's just a tale of how, despite all its negatives, forum posts and friends can have a direct influence on what happens in the field of play. I sincerely hope Chris bet her that night at towcester. RIP Chris,a true dog man. |
