As an old ex flapper, and a one off NGRC owner, I have found these interviews really thoughtful and interesting. I don't know the guy, but he comes across as a really genuine guy with a wealth of knowledge. His projections for the future of greyhound racing seem feasible to me. It seems that the future is betting ( a numbers game) and not greyhound racing per se. I like his idea of making it easier for owner/trainers with one or two dogs to become licenced at their local track. I haven't been to a dog track in years, but it's in my blood and so I am still interested in what goes on. It is sad to see it's decline, but society has changed and life goes on.
On a side note, I thought Julie came across very well. Caring and knowledgeable.
