Thought big myself paint. Stayed on to finish 4 length third to Ballymac Ambrose in Northern Flat. Never got near to Ambrose, even to drop but one's 8/1 and the other's 100/1. Definitely worth an each way play at the prices if you can get on in the shops. No chance online.

Sporting Dave been withdrawn from heat 3, Small But Deadly takes his place.

Ballymac Ambrose at 10/1, this is the acid test stepping up in grade and as paint mentioned Newinn Banger at 100/1. Rumble blessed? Never a moments concern. All i wanted him to do was what he,d bin doing. Turning second to lep was massive odds on in running. Easy street again this week. Cant wait till auld brig opens at 11. Thirsty work trying to find winners.

Woody, Ambrose so far has ran much better when better drawn in the middle for me. SBD is a tight railer. Plaza LEP held its ground on the run up, but then cut the bend when leading. Diego railed until having to switch wide to challenge coming home. Even Cash cut the first bend when handy. Ambrose is 1/4 in trap 1 graded at BV but has improved since he last ran from there in June so maybe won't affect him as much as feared. Just a matter of getting a run and qualifying at this stage as there is no margin for error when only 2 go through. If he can get round unscathed, he'll win

had good go king sheeran 18 to 1 n 16 to 1 for comp. great draw for semi. prone to missing break but was better to corner than reggie last nite who can put it up to corner against ice on fire. inside looks mess in sheerans heat. be all over it.

Backed 11/1 Small But Deadly (reckon quicker than Plaza Lep early and may only need to miss Ambrose at lids to make a mockery of his price), 31/10 Roxholme Jim (tons in hand on the clock with Ice, on first round form anyway) and 13/2 Droopys Trapper (been plugging on and due a ping)

Antepost 7/2 Ice On Fire and 20/1 Bramble Reggie (just hope they qualify)

If you've still no interest, recommend you take a look at 7/1 Ambrose outright

Unfortunately the draw did for Ambrose as I feared. He did tonight the same as he does at Belle Vue from 1, steps right and moves middle. Hopefully going forward they seed him correctly as middle and hope that’s what he gets. Worst case scenario I think he’d be better out of 6 than 1 if it came to that.
