Our pup just turned two and is running three times every nine days on average. 120 quid appearance money great, but the bitch is clearly knackered by the third run ,then the complaint goes in and she gets a week off. Everything the antis want is there in the gbgb records, this game is shooting itself in the foot.

We all know the answer to this............far too much racing.
Each track should have just 2 meetings maximum per week and back to 8 race cards.

Pure greed at the expense of the dogs.
Not an anti by any means, but when you see your bitch win on a saturday night , absolutely knackered sunday morning and then hardly lifting a leg on parade for a race thursday ,anyone who knows the  dog knows shes knackered, the vet at the track ...who doesnt know the dog, passes her as fit ......

to be honest enough is enough and it's not only romford doing this the gbgb have now got to do something about this the racing offices are treating greyhounds like fodder because sis want more and more racing

Irish... If anyone who knows the dog knows she is knackered, then why is your Trainer running her ???? Trainer does not have to run her, you need to speak to your Trainer cos a simple phone call to the RM telling him to give her a week off or whatever you like. No dog is forced to run by the Racing Office, the trainer can say NO.

She has to provide x number of dogs each week for her contract to be honoured. In my opinion no trainer can handle more than twenty dogs a week on their own. Especially as they are meant to be training the dogs. So they have to relyon their staff. Good staff are very very hard to get hold of. Generally the older the better, but many of want younger clueless kids because they can feed, sweepout kennels and get the dogs off and on the treads at about half the prics of those who know what they are at. That is the state of the game over there pal.

As for the racing manager at crayford, he had his own thread ob here slagging him somewhere, hes employed by the bookmakers isnt he ?
