Most of these markets are a waste of time and effort simply because of a lack of interest. I've all but given up bothering and that's of an evening let alone 10 hours before the off.Plain

As soon as paddys/sportsbook come up with prices, they seed the market on here as well to lose 100/150. Any marked accounts take that price on the exchange, then as the dr says, paddys will cut their fixed odds price as well. Cheap way of getting their card marked

I've been on about marking bookmakers cards with the early prices for years now but no one takes a blind bit of notice.

Aint you got something over there called
The monopolies and mergers commision
Dont they say you cant get together
To fix prices with other similar organisations
Always wondered how come the bookies used
To sit in the cafe underneath the stand
Before racing at wimbledon
And agree on a tissue ......
Price fixing at its worse

Just looked and almost every dog race today has apparently had £24 ‘matched’.  In many cases each dog for £4 at odds of 6. What’s that all about?

Even the very last race of the day, a graded B5 450m at Doncaster has, apparently, had each dog matched for £4  at odds of ‘5’!

At the end of the day no one forces you to bet on any price ,if it's not value don't bet .
It does not matter if the price goes up 7 days before the race or 5 minutes before the off all cards are "marked" by the shrewd punters .
It all comes down to getting value ,whenever the price goes up or whether  manipulated which of course they are and always have been .

We all remember Ladbrokes and corals reps putting on 50 quids at bags meetings to lower prices ,but as long as you are betting properly and getting that value it does not matter .

Havent punters gone to jail for trying to manipulate markets?

I don't see the difference with bookmakers

If people are silly enough to take sp prices then that's there problem ,if you take a fixed price it cannot be manipulated.
You either take it or leave it simples !!!

Trainer gave me her money to put on my dog at wimbledon one night. She didnt care what price it was. She werent worried about value. Vast majority of punters dont worry about value.

You are dead right Irish , everyone has a choice  if they are happy with any price the bookies give, good luck to them.

If it wasnt for the vast majority betting like this ,there would be no room for the bookies or pro punters to make anything out of the game !

No one forces anyone to take **** prices .

the bookies have been and still do maniplate prices,
£400 sent to Romford bookies to return a dog 6/4, when it was 7/2 on their tissues and trading 7/2 on betfair
it was the last leg in a lucky15, first three winning,#
had 10 grand going on last selection which won,
so instead of drawing 45 grand, he drew 25 grand.
so the bookie..w hills...had a 20grand to £400...nice bit of business for them,
not so for my mate

Nothing has been done because the bookmakers are quite happy about it.
