After watching last night's heats I was interested to c the draw this morning. Was quite taken with baroness bullet. Everybody was talking her up at Towcester imo she wasn't suited by the place. Bin the making of her imo being away from the gaff and has flourished since. The main opposition in her semi bombers bullet was defo found wanting up the home straight n with the long run to pick up will av done him no favours. Roxholme poppy looks increasingly  to me she wants to go further these days and is unreliable  at the start. The ranger dog got a freak break for him the other night. Ran well enough but was in front a long time. Don't think he will break like that again.Bullet bitch won't be favourite for semi but in my book she should be. Thought 10/1 was massive as I think she should make the final with ease. 7/1 with 365 nearer the mark. Had a few quid on. Win only. Quarter odds still first 3.

To me when comps are first two qualify in the semis I think very little value in dogs ante post markets

Obviously for the ante post bet to win you have to win the final

With only two qualifying in the semi ok you could finish second and win the final but if you going to win the final you would hope it's dapajile if winning the semi

And if you going to back a dog ante post again you should believe it's going to win it's first round heat

Unless say it's coming back from injury if badly drawn though you expect it to quality and come on

So the way I look at it you might as well just back it to win every round and you will get much better odds in most cases

Unfortunately ravage I was delayed in Dublin early evening. Only just saw them on phone. At the airport i thought ela juliet n droopys live might av bin the way to go. After watching heats I think the bullet bitch is overpriced. The other 2 bitch,s together.

First Semi:

Hoping Bombers Bullet does a Rubys Rascal and stays better than expected coz don't trust slow starting pair short fav Calico Ranger and frustrating Roxholme Poppy. Bombers to race clear and might hold on for a place in final but would be no surprise to see him crash out, either


Second Semi:

Got defending champion Keplar Nine at 28/1 and gone in again at the 22/1, each-way. Would say on my evidence, as good a chance as joint ante-post fav Ela Juliet from what ive seen at Sheffield. Easiest largest payout but could have done with other smaller play Swift Hansel in a separate heat. Not sure why Ridgedale Max such a short fav, swerve


Third Semi:

Don't trust short fav Droopys Live from old. Ela Juliet can ping but can hit a flat spot before coming again. Expecting to see her in the final, with Slippy Maggie no gears at all early. Finishes strongly but too late the cry!

My thoughts for what they are worth lol

1st Semi -  Calico Ranger - Clocked an Impressive 41.74 last time out here in the heats by using early pace and leading all the way can do so again here tonight to make the final"

2nd semi - Swift Hansel - Was 2nd to Calico Ranger last time out in the heats beaten 3/4 of a length and running on strong so can turn that 2nd into a 1st here tonight with a similar run.

3rd Semi - Droopys Live - Again another greyhound who likes to do it off the front won it's heat by leading all the way and can also lead these a merry dance tonight has a lovely draw on the rails in trap 1 and can use that to it's advantage and clock another speedy time

Career best break last week. Not his normal modus operandi. Reverting to norm I can c him with 4 dogs in front of him in home straight. 2 of which are strong finishers. It's my first time back on the machine in 3 months. Got some catching up to do. Good luck.

Stranger things have happened than both Keplar and Hansel qualifying. 9/2 Keplar was decent for the quick fix tonight but the big payout could come next week!

Darting 41.74 Calico Ranger decent but Keplar, at best, 41.24calc when beating Droopys Live in a race after winning this last year

Rapid 29.15 trial shows he's still got the speed and should be stripping fitter to keep going better

Come on woody wot av I told u about referring to form from a year ago. His 29.15 trial very good I agree. Has had 1 6 bend race. It sometimes takes it out of them woody. Long run to pick up might not av helped either.

Not a fan but little side-bet Calico Ranger, just looks overpriced at 13/2. Doubt Rox Poppy will start consistently and Ranger has less than 2 lengths to find. Ela Juliet can ping but usually hits a flat spot. Draw may not be so bad for Ranger coz rear early wherever drawn and could pick his way to the outside before finishing well. Really though, hoping Keplar Nine puts the race to bed early again like last year. Would avoid Slippy Maggie and Goldies Hotspur (both better over further)
