The original poster is a legend of the game imo he has single handedly fed n shod edinburghs greyhound population for years. Bar none best judge I, ve worked with. I know the recent incident he,s talkin about. He don't post a lot on here. But u can bet diamonds he will be correct. 100%

i have punted professionally for 20 years now. im a well known gambler on dogs......i havent gone in a shop to have a bet more than 4/5 times in the last 2 years. i see little future from punting and sadly i aint a great judge on anything apart from dogs! the firms are just a total waste of time and as long as there are £50 punters willing to mark there cards on the earlys it will only continue. 10 years ago, if i had a nap i could sometimes get 3/4 grand on in a shop. thats spread over 4/5 puter oners. what could you get now?

Spot on howisyourluck about those early morning punters. They are wrecking the markets for both greyhound and horse racing.
|

By:
what do you expect people to do if they can get 1000t200 and they make it 9t4 why should they not bet it for one it won't be 5t1 on betfair that's for sure the days of getting 2,000 or 3,000 on are long gone in graded races trouble is people think they can get a monkey in one go again them days well gone got to use your brain i am lucky live in london so got loads of shops and got to plan even to get 300 on but it can be done hard i know but it's the state of play in 2018

doc
if I go into my local corals the manager is on the phone so I deliberately ask for a punt on a hound I don't fancy by then compatriots in small sums gather the one I want |
|
By:
i do agree. they are allowed. it will go anyway and if i could get on id be doing it! lol
|

One day they complain they can't get on and the next day they say you can get on if you use your head. Make your minds up!
One thing is for sure, that the bookmakers will never stop offering early prices when they can get their cards marked so cheaply. That was the reason they introduced early morning markets back in the 1970s or 80s and it has worked a treat for them. |

the good dr has complained about getting on for ages now getting £300s on! mmmmmm
|
|
By:
its up and down with the shops i had one shop where i could get very good bets but the manager got the sack for letting certain punters on for a drink it goes up and down got no need to lie because i don't want 2 or 3 grand on i am happy to get what i get never been a greedy person only eating food and i am still going after 30 years i always been good at getting bets on helps having good friends who help out hope it clear things up

considering paddy power and betfair are one concern
the exchange on betfair is still opinion driven last nights irish dog derby final did not generate as much interest as the graded race that followed |

Both are past tense, are they not?
But anyone would know what was meant unlike an assortment of letters splashed all over the place. |

But maybe it's just a ruse to prevent woody from knowing what you're talking about.

was going in to paddy power ans was bunging the staff just for taking the bets.
got on ok for about two months, then i was told, singles only and all bets had to be rung up. not been back since. went into a shop the other week and asked for £1500 to £300 on the early prices. the girl said i got to ring it up i said how much can i have without you ringing it up. she replied £100. so i had a £500 to £100 so then i said if i wrote the bet out again twice would you take it. she looked at me and thought for a second and replied, i suppose so. so i wrote it out twice put both slips over took the price and she took them. bung her a tenner. dog won, went back later to draw, i said to her, any problems, she said no, so i bunged her another £40 |
