The stock car racing is brilliant there .. never been for the dogs. Track is very tight and short ! Shorter than Crayford I believe.

Like Dr says the food is quality too.

As the previous posters said the Fish and chips are worth the trip alone.

Usually go once a year during the July meeting at Newmarket.

Proper old fashioned 'grass roots' track, amazed it survives tbh on one meeting a week and one of only 3 tracks i can think of with no BAGS or RPGTV. Really friendly and clearly everyone who works there with or without the dogs, does it for love.

Used to go quite often when I lived in St Ives. Nice friendly little gaff. One year, in the season, they gave away sacks of potatoes at the entrance to attendees (no joke!). They used to get a lot of stick from the local animal rights crowd.

That's a good variety of distances, although people now are more used to a card of 14 four bend races and may find it hard to cope.Laugh
