Refreshing to have an 8 race card. Theres no need for 14 races. 10 is plenty. Would help the shortage of dogs situation, trainers would not be forced into running dogs that clearly have problems.
If anybody watched it, the racing was as trouble free as any current rack is. The pictures crystal clear HD and easy to get bets on with Hills and Laddies. This is going to become part of my punting week now. If Betfair markets pick up it will be blis. Get the money by 11.30 and rest of the day off.

No other BAGS track holds 8 dog races.
So if those only had 10 races that would mean 60 per meeting.
Currently BAGS tracks hold between 11 and 14 races per meeting of 6 dog races.
Lets call it an average of 12.5 races per meeting and say there 6 bags meeting per day.

So per day :  6dogs x 12.5 races x6 meetings = dogs needed = 450 dogs.

Therefore :   6 dogs x 10 races x 6 meetings = dogs needed = 360 dogs
Thats 90 dogs or 20 per cent less dogs needed.

turnover in the UK goes through the floor on 8 dog races, a few people want it but the majority don't
no betting turnover = no greyhound racing = no need for dogs

Catford used to do 8 dog races over the 385 metre trip, it was canine bingo. Fallers after carnage at the first bend and 30 lengths from last to first was not unusual.
