Tow is not Greyhound Racing it is complete and total Shyte ,the pushing and promotion of this track is Beyond belief, if the Derby ends up at TOW it will be the Biggest disaster that has hit our Sport since the Closure of White city .This insane push needs to be checked NOW , it is not and never will be our Premium track in its current state. All they needed to do was replicate Coventry They missed the biggest chance our sport has had in years ,This 8 dog world wide shyte will fall flat on its face..
I hate knocking any track ,and the facilities appear second to none I hope they last forever and show a massive Profit ,BUT DO NOT HAVE THE DERBY THERE ....it will be a complete farce

RLH streaming to ASia ? There are some asian Punters who could only tell the Difference between Cartoon Dogs and real dogs if they were eating them Its fckin Comical, can you imagine gangs of Chinese Bettors all get excited about betting at the English Greyhound Track Or maybe the Ozzies will get involved ?
The only hope for the british/irish punter will be Multi/exotic race pools with millions of Pounds of mug money in them ..I just cannot See it..The Sport is struggling world wide USA OZ BRITAIN, EIRE ,but the Chinese will come to the Rescue

they have done some good things towcester defo and overall I'm positive about the gaff but I never punt there and hardly ever watch the tuesday show, the denial about the state of the track and the 8 dog overseas project sheit is a massive hurdle for them to get over and I'm not sure they ever will or even want to
cant argue with most of that case unfortunately they have done some good things towcester defo and overall I'm positive about the gaff but I never punt there and hardly ever watch the tuesday show, the denial about the state of the track and the 8 do
UK and/or Eire greyhound punters...will not take to 8 dog racing
6 dogs is hard enough
I do not mind them thinking big.
If Towcester have not dealt with the front runner bias...they should not get Derby in my opinion

Ahhhhh the mythical pot of asian gold...theres hordes of asians waiting on the announcement to take up the opportunity to bet into towcester greyhound pools (how they actually do that fk knows and no-one seems to have the answer either) after the governments across the asian continent simultaneously announce the licensing of a UK greyhound track for gambling across the continent, cant wait.

They have already changed aspects of the track - there have been tonnes of recent winners from the outside boxes and from off the pace. Personally from a punting point of view I would much rather the old front runner/rails bias had remained. It is a license to print for anyone sane.
Towcester are attracting the top trainers in the country, are prepared to put on top class racing and invest massively in facilities/media etc. Connections are allowed to punt and the management ain't controlled by bookmakers.
People are not fearful of their jobs if a gamble is landed.
They want and would invest in a Derby that would attract many thousand on final night.
Everthing about the place looks like what dog racing should be if it has any future and prospects for growth over the next decade or 2.

If its right or wrong i,ve heard that towcester will announce next week that they will hold the derby. Personally i dont bet there. No idea who sponsor is. Hills have there festivals and i like betting at both tracks. Very much looking forward to all england cup starting shortly. A proper race run on a proper track. Still cant believe the oppertunity missed to build a proper dog track on a blank canvas at towcester. If thats the best they can come up with after several re jigs well it just goes to show how near the end greyhound racing is.

What is it about the track wonders that is so unappealing?
This weekend over 14 graded races the distribution of winners was
t1 - 4, t2 - 6, t3 - 4, t4 - 5, t5 - 1, t6 -4.
There were approx 13 first bend leader/winners and and 11 from off the pace.
Its a small sample but pretty representative of what has been happening there.
When the 500m trip is firmy established I imagine the off the pace winners will unofrtunately go up.
What is the big deal? And if there is a huge bias will anyone on here admit to having making life changing money from it?

Well I have no problem with the Derby going to Towcester
now that the bias problem has been dealt with.
I have no problem with them showing 8 dog racing at 5:30 am for the Asian market if it shows a profit.
Greyhound racing is under severe financial and welfare pressures. Anything that brings in more money will help with this,
if we want Greyhound Racing to continue.

you've pretty much answered your own questions there CC...1 meeting isn't a meaningful sample size and you're talking about graded races where they have systematically done all they can to disguise what the gaff is
I admit (albeit from too small a sample) that the 500 results look more promising and also the far side races do too but I suggest having a look at the stats for all the 480 opens and see if you still think its a fair track and worthy of hosting the derby

I can see many owners paying crazy money for dogs to win the derby at Towcestor unless it's £500 k to the winner
