Still not a sniff of antepost and we're well into Tuesday afternoon. First round tomorrow night
Report woodmanchester August 30, 2016 8:09 PM BST
Plenty priced up now. 10/1 Jaytee Spartacus and 16/1 Peregrine Falcon will do me nicely, thank you very much Happy
Report Gordon63 August 30, 2016 10:09 PM BST
where are you finding those - still nothing on oddschecker...
Report Gordon63 August 30, 2016 10:26 PM BST

stay loose 16
peregrine falcon 16

No streaming of first round.
Report Ravage Again August 30, 2016 11:07 PM BST
I think JK picked Spartacus and stay loose

So good luck getting anything on them ones
Report woodmanchester August 31, 2016 1:41 AM BST
When you say anything on, got Spartacus to return £50 and Peregrine £46. I'm only small fry, so okay! Laugh
Report woodmanchester August 31, 2016 11:41 AM BST
Not for me but some dogs interestingly priced now. Wouldn't put you off 20/1 Holdem Rio, 25/1 Shaneboy Freddie, 25/1 Ajlo Legalbeagle, 66/1 My Mate Max

Good luck!

Report woodmanchester September 5, 2016 9:14 PM BST
Victories for Old Joe Golden and Holdem Rio, too
Report woodmanchester September 5, 2016 9:16 PM BST

Report dr . atkins September 5, 2016 10:22 PM BST
very impressed with a dog tonight got to see what draw it gets in semi final
Report icantbelieveyousaidthat September 5, 2016 11:39 PM BST
Semi Finals, as drawn tonight

1st Semi
Southfield Jock
Bockos Alfie
Bubbly Turbo
Clondoty Alex
Ajlo Legalbeagle
Old Joe Golden

2nd Semi
Do It For Twiggy
All About Class
Holden Rio
Ballinclare Solo (m)
Bar The Warrior (m)
Ballymac Cathal

BUT

Bar The Warrior should have been allocated T5 in First Semi
I believe if correctly allocated Old Joe Golden would have remained in First Semi with Ajlo Legalbeagle in 6 and Ballymac Cathal in 5 in Second Semi.

HOWEVER

To be redrawn, probably at Wednesday's meeting.
Report Fashion Fever September 6, 2016 12:14 AM BST
hi chris hope your still taking plenty

got some nice EW bets on all about class so heres hoping.
Report Gordon63 September 6, 2016 10:36 AM BST
shame they messed up the draw as my only remaining runner - ballymac cathal had T6 in what looked the weaker of the two semis..

I know there have been problems but heats Monday and still no updated betting Thursday. Pull your finger out! Crazy
Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 12:03 AM BST
I must be a fool if I listen to you lot. Crashed antepost but with my usual way would still have 20/1 Holdem Rio and 25/1 Ajlo Legalbeagle. Only best 5/1 and 7/1 now Plain
Report garryc September 9, 2016 1:21 AM BST
your right you are a fool,it has nothing to do with comments on the steel city final where you got stick for betting so many dogs, you put your bets on for the yarmouth derby  before those comments  yet now you are saying thats why you only bet a couple of dogs which are beaten already.why dont you just bet another dozen i am sure you will find the winner.
Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 8:20 AM BST
I'd have a job picking a dozen when there's only 10 left in it. No, the pair mentioned and touted would have done me. At least I would still have been in the race and not lost everything
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 9, 2016 9:08 AM BST
You do realise had you bet everything you touted you'd have been betting just shy of 5/2 coupled, you can still do that with them 2 dogs at the current prices.

Or put it another way, had you put £1 on your 6 selections, you'd be left with £6 to win £20 Holdem Rio (10/3) and £6 to win £25 Aljo Legalbeagle (basically 4/1), so you'd be left with 10/3 about 5/1 shot and 4/1 about a 7/1 shot
Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 10:00 AM BST
Youre a whizz PF, my head hurts
Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 10:03 AM BST
The way I saw it, if I'd split my total stakes, I'd still have two dogs running, instead of having nothing. Must admit you seem a genius with numbers
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 9, 2016 10:08 AM BST
You're in a better position now, you can now evaluate the comp at the semi final stage and if you still feel those dogs are overpriced you can back them at better than what you'd have been left it betting them to level stakes, reality is you'd have had less on them than the shorter priced runners you bet so you'd have been left with them running for you are even worse value for your money.
Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 10:10 AM BST
I'm number dyslexic. Know percentages on over-rounds and total stakes/returns but that's about it. There was a funny post once about betting on the exchanges with all kinds of variations on a simple bet. I can see professional gamblers needing to know all the ins and outs but a £3 win better like me think only needs to keep it basic
Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 10:11 AM BST

Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 10:13 AM BST
Sure what youre saying is cosha but would still rather have had little bets 20/1 and 25/1. Don't think 5/1 and 7/1 that good now but I bow to your wisdom
Report houdini September 9, 2016 10:24 AM BST
Blocks Alfie must make the final with that draw then
Report woodmanchester September 9, 2016 10:25 AM BST
I virtually never back to level stakes. I have a return target in mind (sometimes £25, £35 etc or like Derbies £250 plus) and use the fractions according to reach that aim
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 9, 2016 10:28 AM BST
I know Woody, that makes it even better now that you'd didn't bet them, that's why I said you'd have had less on the bigger priced dogs so in fact you would have even worse value than 10/3 about a 5s shot and 4s about a 7s shot
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 9, 2016 10:30 AM BST

Some interesting supporting races

The 3 inside runners seem to have it in Div 2 of the standard, once upon a time Romany Rouge would have been a good thing for the Stayers but the type to lay now and despite too wide a draw, Calco Flyer could still prove a hot potato in the Gents

The Marathon sees Droopys Cottage bidding to turn the tables of surprise recent conqueror Dashing Star and Ribble Atom warrants the utmost respect here, too. Generally not crazy for marathons, but this looks a race worth noting

Many not crazy for sprints either but the final has all the makings of a thriller. Scolari Sound is sure to have strong supporters but the fly in the ointment could be Walk The Talk. Although he showed signs of temperament in the heats, he was just a head off the clock at Sheffield the time before and if leading and staying focused could land the pot

Come on Ajlo in the £12k big one!

Good luck!
Report woodmanchester September 14, 2016 3:07 AM BST
Backed Ajlo but only other bet the 8.2/1 Ribble Atom/Holdem Rio double. Will add, think 10/1 Dashing Star, 14/1 Whatugonnado and 12/1 Rorys Way could outrun their large prices

Don't think I always need help, Garry. Just sometimes misplaced bets, but don't we all?
Report garryc September 14, 2016 3:51 AM BST
i think if you fancy something at a bigger price dont cut your stakes because its a bigger price,if you think it will win bet it to your usual stakes, good luck
Report woodmanchester September 14, 2016 11:16 AM BST
Cheers for the advice. Anything around the 12/1 mark is each-way territory for me. In these cases, already backed Ribble Atom in Dashing Star's race, Whatugonnado really needs a messy race and quite liked 11/4 All About Shea in Rorys Way's race. Just thought they were all worth a mention

Price gone Dashing Star, Shea nibbled and Rorys out to 14/1 now. Whatugonnado out to 16/1 so little each-way stabs the last named pair

Good luck!

Iv played Urban Road at 8/1 small. He runs this track very well and seems to be back on form recently. Romany Rouge  won't suit this track as bends too sharp and also Mellisa could hinder out wide, just hoping Urban Road can get clear at the first.

Wont dispute the fact melissa could b a problem for romany rouge. I think he runs track well enough run well in purse last year, just btn i think by borna champ. Decent enough trial. Only bet of the night rouge 7/4. Thought would be around 5/4 mark. Good luck with urban.
