Drawn up my initial shortlists:
Classic Positives Southfield Jock Pinpoint Den Toolmaker Scot Holdem Rio Hiya Butt Save The Don Bubbly Turbo Roswell Iceman At this point, think I'd be shying away from: Charity Buster Roxholme Barkley Clondoty Alex Calzaghe George Droopys Five Roxholme Scolari Jaytee Spartacus Shaneboy Freddie Grand Prix Positives Droopys Benz Romeo Storm Patchys Kerry Pinpoint Boom Avoiding: Shellam Delano Shellam Maeby Clever Jamie Ferryforth Fran Some very smart dogs running and reckon worth the expense to attend in person. Bets will depend on prices |

Grand Prix. Personal 6/1 recovery mission for me with Pinpoint Boom, who never got chance to prove he stays 6 bends when below par in the 3 Steps heats at Sheffield. Sure Kelly wouldn't have entered him for this if she felt he wouldn't get 640m and back in the north east, could develop into the best stayer in the country!
Classic. Cake shop accepted my 8/1 bet Pinpoint Den, but don't think it'll last. Looks rapid to me and hoping it's a benefit night for Kelly come Gala Finals, July 13th. Also, done the 45/1 Pinpoint double and 26.5/1 Boom/Butt double Very excited to be going for first round tomorrow Good luck! |

Southfield Jock for me 6/1 - good luck all

As touted, Pinpoint Boom could have the potential to be the country's best stayer. Delighted with the 6/1, best 2/1 now. Some dogs easing at the sough
Thought Pinpoint Den disappointing. Showed nothing like the gears the time before, bumped and out. 26/1 double still alive with Hiya Butt but will need to cope with the track better, ran off, whacked and lucky to survive. Impressed the way Toolmaker Scot overhauled the trailblazing Coolavanny Rebel and Roxholme Scolari badly needed his run and should come on Peculiar track. Didn't look level to me with first two bends up a bank but probably just an optical illusion. Tatty and torn Hills banner back straight needs a new one. Bowser kept going round and flooding the track. Stops near the traps while it continues to gush gallons of water out until turned off! ![]() Okay standing on the finishing line to watch the dogs go past if youre 12 foot tall to see over the wall. Only way you can watch the dogs properly in the grandstand if youre right up against the window. You cant see the home straight from the elevated section in the grandstand and the ample seating behind it is a total waste of time. Needs re-designing if you ask me Nevetheless, enjoyed the trip and would return |

Done the 17/1 Pinpoint Boom/Toolmaker Scot double, seeing as Boom looks a good thing to me

Coming from about 10 lengths off the pace, Shellam Delano took ages to get on top in the heats. Reckon he's not going to be too wide and may find a problem or two getting past dogs in his semi. Therefore, looking to lay at the likely very short odds. Even if he does qualify, cant see him turning round such a deficit on Pinpoint Boom in the final. Nothing much left really, so Boom's contest to lose
|
|
By:
In the north east this weekend so going for the semis. Everything crossed for Pinpoint Boom but Hiya Butt not been showing the electric Wimbledon speed first round and trials round here. Hoping for improvement but could have done without Toolmaker Scot against him. Great if both could qualify
Looks like Walshes Hill could be pressed by Exactly in the sprint heats but maintaining Walshes best sprinter in the country Good looking puppy contest, too |

Your a victim of the facebook/twitter age woody where everyone seems to want to constantly air their opinions. That silly cow from the BBC was recently saying she had to turn her phone off in the evenings as she was compelled to message on whatever app she was using. I know this is probably not what you want to hear but the majority of people are not that bothered about your wagers and these threads are generally about your wagers. You would do better using one of those other apps where you may gather in the responses you crave along with the adulation when winning suggestions are followed.

Thanks Safari but contrary to popular belief, I quite like stating stuff and getting no personal response as all it usually is is grief. I see it as trying to evoke some excitement about quality racing such as this but seems, people view and read but have no input. Hobbsy said if it wasn't for me the forum would die!

Think thats where Hobbsy is wrong Woody - will be no forum because of your posts

Not bothered anyway. If people on here were really greyhound enthusiasts and knew anything, they would make the odd post at least, imo

greyhound racing going downhill fast you cant get a decent bet on i dont even try anymore

Do you think bookies want to see the end of greyhound racing? Or do you think they just want to make ownership pointless? So therefor more greyhounds are owned by tracks/trainers. I can't believe early prices are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

surely there's room for all......agree most of woodys posts end with his wagers which he updates with his reposts until they all end in profit which undermines his credibility but the slowing down of the forum.....that's not down to him.....he has just found an empty room to shout in.....its all to do with the apparent criminalisation of betting......I hope some day the one armed bandits will be banned and we can return to the battle between old enemies' where the brightest sparks on both sides will flourish.....and once people are on they will be happy to share because if the punter is correct there's nothing better than heaping the pain on those no good barstewards who believe they have a licence to print...
