With Pat regards track last night and through comp. Slight rails bias on certain earlier nights, looked much fairer last night.
Having watched the vids I am having problems rationally arguing for any clear bias last night. There were 3 graded races last night - no sign of an outside bias. Heat 1 - If Blue Cafu in 1 hadn't bumped out of traps may have made bend v brogan. Heat 2 - V Fast 460m dog in 6 makes all, bit of trouble for stayers behind. Heat 3 - 4,5,6 ran as expected, 1 not look right, 2 and 3 need to lead. Heat 4 - Trouble, t3 runs blinder. Heat 5 - Trouble, Storm not show expected early, Paddy in 1 shows more than previous. Heat 6 - T1 makes all and looks stronger than prev. Heat 7 - Carnage on inside as predicted by many. Heat 8 - T1 takes 3 bumps to bend, still leads t6 and posts a 28.36! More than happy to be corrected but cant see where rails dogs have got a clear and failed to pick their feet up? |
|
By:
the great thing about this game is those who don't think there was a bias can crack on as though there wasn't 1 and those who think there was can do the same
could hardly agree more with the riddler tbh...2 dogs ran their absolute bowlarks off yesterday and they are the 2 ![]() |

8.16 on the prices with trap 3 nap love the dog going from 1 into 3. would be worried by trap 4 if i had a dog in the race 8.33 nightmare race for me 1-2-3 just see trouble 5 going right into 6 no play for me 8.51 if trap 6 traps wins i think it traps every pancake day no play for me 9.08 just see trouble at the 1st bend just want all the dogs to come off safe

They did wonders
I made them both 5/2 pokes Made stay lucky a bet but Just know that ned steps right big time Only runner with a chance overlord but they as to be major major carnage |
|
By:
Just 3 unbeaten dogs left: Boyneside, Butt and Sanchez
|
|
By:
trying to get on is like trying to bet a dog on bags for fck sake its the derby got some 4t1 and some 7t2 lenson rocky
|
|
By:
Hoping its a level or inside track
H1 - Lenson Rocky 3/1 H2 - Southfield Jock 6/4 H3 - Droopys Latina 9/2 H4 - Lenson Sanchez 4/1 Good Luck All. |
|
By:
4/1 Lenson Rocky was a bloody fair go if anyone on.
|
|
By:
For what it's worth three I liked at the prices were lenson rocky, hiya butt and lenson Sanchez but a combination of some closed accounts lately and my main two lieutenants both out the country have made even trying to bet tomorrow's race a pointless exercise.
Going deeper into the whinge about not getting on, really p1sses me off that owners who supply the product - I've got 18 now for example - provide the product for firms to make money and here I am for as long as I remember having to bet in other people's names. Farcical situation. |
|
By:
Hiya butt and lenson rocky connections must be livid now
It's like giving the other dogs a 3m head start ![]() |
|
By:
4/1 Droopys rod if he gets the rail too good
7/1 stay lucky good draw 6/1 cloran paddy is 100% over price 24 left 18 will have sort of niggles some big wouldn't touch shortlys |
|
By:
Only see Stay Lucky's draw as good if Newlawn Ned doesnt go right , that would be a first , and have both AP . Also have DO and SF and former goes left , could do without the draw .

Liking 4/1 Droopys Roddick. Also gone for 4/1 Blue Cafu and 7/2 Hiya Butt (missed the 4's). Avoiding the Boyneside race like the plague. Always used to have his head behind the other dog on the line but started edging it now. Either way, been bitten too many times before to even dare risk a penny on him
Mainly just wanting qualification, in order of preference, for: Roddick, Peregrine, Jet, Dutch and Brogan, at this stage Elsewhere on the card, waiting for better prices Roswell Iceman and Fizzypop Buddy, good dogs Had large, just shy of 6/4, 'cast Roxholme Magic to beat Ribble Atom. Really cant see any other result? Going down but seems I got a new name, Billy (No-Mates), coz nobody said they would meet me there ![]() Good luck! |

Agree with most re Lenson Rocky - 4/1 was huge.
Disagree with noflaps - cant have Cloran Paddy with stolen. Reckon you will get double figs on machine. It will probably turn last and it wouldnt beat t1, t3 or t6 in a straight line race for me. Blue Cafu rarely misses the bins and will charge straight into Jock for me. Think Freddie the value as he edges right out of the 3 box at wimbledon. 3rd heat tricky but think the 2 rags Be Up Front and Imperial too big at 20/1 and 33/1 like in last round. They have decent ep and can post a 28.40. 4th heat is also tricky. Roddick surely bit big at 4/1. Has to avoid Sanchez but the latter doesn't come away from red well here. Have backed Turbo also at 8/1. Could well lead and only 1or2 could pick him up and they may well come together. |
|
By:
can't knock anyone for backing roddick its along the same lines of why id favour sanchex can see 3-6 bother i just feel on balance of probability sanchez would turn in front of roddick and unless roddick takes a big step forward i don't see him catching sanchez if that scenario happens.
mind you who knows what the going will be like tomorrow |
|
By:
was talking to someone tonight who put up a very good case against droopys roddick he's main reason to be against roddick was it was checking when having dogs around him also put up a very good case for droopys latina

Two small other bets I thought where big prices
Toolatetosell 8/1 came away ok at Swindon had local sprinter Show him the way came to win race at the rd put up in the air Still only went down length and half Here I see 3 moving off a bit into four 5 move in All late as to do match the jolly or go rd with race on His record here not great !! Roller 7/1 big price can break switch of tracks could be key found out he's no comp dog Got to lead up if any chance seen in past he can do !! |
|
By:
Didn't go due a medical issue. Looking at the books now, very fair with a couple bang-on 100% over-round. Sticking with original bets but at these price now, could be interested in 7/2 Tosh, 20/1 Darragh (each-way), 8/1 Falcon, same price Old Joe and 4/1 Sanchez
Good luck! |
|
By:
Ive had a rejig in H2, i think 1 will poss pop and take 2 right a smidge so im going with 1 and 3 there now. 2 x Lucky 15's
H1 - Lenson Rocky H2 - Blue Cafu H2 - Shaneboy Freddie H3 - Droopys Latina H4 - Lenson Sanchez Good Luck All. |
|
By:
hope u are right that is exactly the same as my card managed to get 800 to 200 and 1050 to 300 Lenson Rocky and will top up at anything bigger than 5 to 2 on here. In my opinion the best bet of the comp to date
|
|
By:
I like the Rocky dog but isn't it only 50/50 he will master Boyneside? Dutch will take all the beating if best foot forward and could, while I have seen Cloran come away at Sheffield before. Another quirk Darragh makes it a minefield for betting, imo. Rocky needs to do everything right, plus needs slice of luck to secure smoothest of passages, so wouldn't touch him at just over 5/2 myself. Only really want Dutch through in this race, so good luck Rocky players anyway

Some big player must be lumping on Diego flight as it's getting cut all over and racing post pw tipped fizzypop buddy

By:
Addy with regard to you getting your bets on
Not sure if you have called all 18 with the same prefix balboa but if you have that will make it even harder to get on |
|
By:
woody shiner is the best judge i've ever known at the game.....and you're not........i'm just delighted i also made the dog a 2/1 chance to 100% #shiner

no not 18 have the prefix half of them are un-raced in ireland, a few of them are doing things people over there are getting very excited about, and some i own in partnership with robert brinkley, one of which we turned down a very large offer for last week on the back of its qualifying trial. i believe my un-raced prospects will be far superior to anything thats currently running over here for me so im hoping the next 18 months will show it was worth the outlay, as ive now spent bang on 100k this last 12 months. could have got a substantial chunk of that back last week if we wanted to. but that said, i dont often bet mine, i dont need to the buzz of winning is enough without financial involvement. to a degree its why i dont understand why owners back their dog to win the derby as the likelihood is you wont and if you do the winning prize money is a lot more than nearly everyone will collect anyway, but i do understand the "fun" involved in betting your own. |

I fancied rocky too but being greedy did not want to back it under ante post rules at 4-1
Hey ho all the shroodies got on and risked it and I missed the price A word of warning though the last 7 or 8 dogs that I have fancied with fattie tipping them also on here have all lost ![]() ![]() ![]() |
