Heat 3 nasty
By:
Yeah heat 3 is ridiculous, could easily be a final- 4 from probable top 6 of betting pre draw in a line and what a 4 bend uk debut for Glenanore Ace. Must surely need to break v well to have any chance as drawn
By:
I cant have glenanore this trip,he doesnt break,he paces up,the short run up here is a killer for him imo.
By:
What's length of runup? Never looked super short to me, always assumed similar to Sittingbourne?
Ace could get away with it in couple of heats, but not in this one, wouldn't even be that much faster (if at all) to half way than a couple in the race |
By:
71m run up
83m at sitters |
By:
509 is a cracking run up, 480 is 76m so not desperate but on the shorter side
By:
BV owners got swindon 480 as 79m its hard to get definitive numbers on this
poor |
By:
cant be that hard to get a gbgb official to get a fkin trundle wheel out to each track and measure it
probably cost 7 figures to do it but whats 7 figs between friends |
By:
I'll just double check now wonders,my database says 71m
By:
Youre right wonders,it is 79m,i must have inputted it wrong cos ive got the 509 run up at 99m which would tie in correctly with the 79m
By:
BVO have 509 as 108m (480 run up +29) their numbers are consistent albeit aren't validated by any1

towcester 64m
that's the derby venue sorted then ![]() |
By:
Hmm,i think maybe i need to revisit my track stats!
Tuesday night was the first time i watched Towcester in a while, more i watched more i say i just couldnt have a derby on that type of track, ive read a few people say sheffield could get it,i think thats about the only track id absolutely put towcester above in the pecking order of potential derby tracks! |
By:
staple diet for you open race boys pat
as a derby venue sheff is a NR from the off as no straights, form there on tues nights you might as well rip it up and use as bog roll when looking at races elsewhere |
By:
even woody has stopped betting those sheff dogs A/P in the derby
tried to educate the count and save him his beer money but its a tough gig educating pork |

hell be playing up his candlelight fire winnings for sure....

Not for the Derby for me but Sheffield dog Ballymac Ramsey won the Juvenile. Would back any other Sheffield dog with Ballymac Eske's ability, though

On Embers fury 9/2
Like I said been lovely dog to my pocket long may it continue Stepping up in class but as lovely early rails well Be a case weather the jolly can pick it or the crayford thing So 4-1 6-1 cover FC Real shame Swindon not be used for rpgtv I like this track very much Love it when they have opens there |
By:
Not sure he comes away from 1 as well as he does from 2 or 3, but he's done nothing wrong over the past few weeks (except chew his brand new coat in the Swindon kennels a couple of weeks ago - managed to get his muzzle off) - everything crossed!

Daveg
What's your take on his 509 run ? Just first look type of run coursing the hare ? Or somethink else ! Good luck tonight I take you have a intrest |
By:
Thanks for that.
He paced up really well in the 509 and, for me, got a very short hare at the first two bends that pulled him wide - he went into the first 4 clear and came out of the second in fourth place. I will be at Monmore with the graders tonight, but will be cheering him on from there. |
By:
I make you exactly right re that hare in the 509 dave and in any case loads of dogs run off that first bend over the 509 from a rails pitch...see the race exact same as fatty tonight....gl!
