none of them should. They should all be made to take sports bets for a minimum of 1000 liability, anything else is at their discretion. if they are forming a one dog, horse, team book, cut it hard and shove the other prices out and ACTUALLY FORM A BOOK.
otherwise they should have licence's to run arcade machines taken away. Yes I accept they are a business and not their to give money away but they are also a bookmaker by trade, given a bookmaking licence, and in its most traditional sense bookmaking was established by taking bets on sports. How the Government do not police this better and make it by law that bets taken on sports should have a compulsory liability is scandalous. I think a 1000 liability is fair, i frequently bet bigger than that and it still won't accommodate my full stake in most instances, but at least i could accept that for the vast majority of punters this is plenty and it would be some sort of compromise for big punters, i could at least see it as a compromise from a company that make millions of profit per year. a grand is about a minute's interest in their bank accounts. |
