just heard on the news that torrential rain has caused towcesters greyhound tracks second bend to collapse the whole of the bend and half the back straight have been washed away down the hill at the back and fire department have said it don't look good for the rest of the track what bad luck just when it was looking good

chris page lord heskwith are on site along with johnny Haynes and the sss crew they said when the rain stops we shall get to work on getting it repaired in time for the next meeting.a comment from a gbgb representive was we at the gbgb hope it don't stop raining aand that the whole track ends up down the hill as we don't like the thought of a track doing well.barry Faulkner asked are there any kebab shops open lord you paying extra chilli on mine.where am I

what a great job the sss boys have done you cannot even see the craic.the gbgb rep said we are gutted that they have had it repaired so quick lord heskwith has invited us along to have a look at the repair with some dinner afterwards so the gbgb office will be closed for a day.cannot beat a freebie

The bends are that wide

90 per cent of it could collapse and still enuff room for six dogs to get past

What a shame the first track built for years has been ruined by a stupid design

if they could turn back time they would still build it exactly the same way

have it on good authority they were told to build it like that wonders,swindon had a cracking track designed but the designs on show now in the paddock look nothing like the original plans,the story behind the change in plans was a gbgb directive that for any new track the bends had to be a minimum radius of 47 mts...I literally have no idea how true any of that is but this is the story doing the rounds at the minute.

got no problem with bends being sweeping but to build a track without any straights is epicSad
