Name escapes me but used to happen all the time with another dog. Raced on Sky, too and often ran well. No problems once the race started

I remember that dog too woody, but not the name.

I have Farley Totti and the dog will not walk on parade and has to be carried to the traps. The tracks in England are ok with this.

I wonder if anyone as seen this before and if anyone has a magic answer to make Totti walk. It does not really effect his running but I have the feeling that if he walked on parade his running would improve.

His early racing was at Derry and I wonder if he would not walk then if anyone can think back.

Think that dog that used to run on the sky cards that would not walk to traps was trainded by Sean White.

The Dog on sky was a big white and brindle dog.... Lodge Dilemma?? (Something like that)...
I used to own a b1tch at Crayford in the early 90s.... She had to be carried to the traps...
She used to fly from the traps and led about 40 of her 55 races.. Only stayed 300metres though!!!

I thought if this greyhound cannot even make it to the traps unaided how is he going to do in the race????

Although I really knew it was his habitMischiefBlush

I get bored in the afternoon so I post any old rubbish

But it appears he is not alone in this

Think there have been a few but the one I remember now was Ace Mentor, no lightweight either. Ran over 6 bends and handler must have been exhausted by the time he'd carried him round to the far side. Would have kept him fit anyway! Laugh. Mentor used to look like he was loving it! Happy

Ace Mentor was mentioned in the link I posted.

I have Farley Totti and the dog will not walk on parade and has to be carried to the traps. The tracks in England are ok with this.

Years back at Romford they used to parade in front of both grandstands rather than going straight across the infield. There was a dog who point blank refused and would sit down until he saw them reach the podium and then happily trot over and join them. Became a bit of a 'celebrity' - they tried changing the order, retracing their steps, stopping and waiting for him but he was wise to them all!
