There has been a major change to the Comerford Cakes Stakes this year with the word “puppy” dropped from the title as the age qualification date is older than the puppy limit!
This on the back of the Puppy Derby doing it and becoming the Juvenile Derby.
Now the Puppy Derby is not just for puppies, the National Puppy Stake is not just for puppies.
I was in the bookies last night and a couple of races from Cork came on. They were betting to 161% and 172% over-round. Does anyone with an inkling of a fair book bet on this poor excuse for a betting medium? I know it's slightly off subject but nevertheless, highlights limited, decent betting opportunities in Ireland

CORK'S Curraheen Park has been dropped from the TurfTV experiment around three Irish greyhound tracks going into betting shops because of increasingly high overrounds.
TurfTV's Michael Conlon said: "It resulted in a bad experience for punters, everything else at the track was fine apart from this. We're going to replace it on Tuesday nights with Tralee. On the whole the product [Mullingar on Sundays, Youghal on Mondays] has gone down well with customers in UK as well as Ireland."
Bookmakers in Ireland tend traditionally bet to a protective high margin on routine events, but the IGB had embarked on a Bags-type product through the use of exposed runners, and asked rings to co-operate if possible.
Mullingar has bet consistently best to the low 130s, while Tralee would normally be significantly higher.
