All England. Sorry but the top two look outstanding dogs to me. 3/1 for Greyhound Of The Year elect Swift Hoffman fair enough and 10/1 Minglers Thunder, must be the most improved dog in training and did me a big favour winning Steel City Cup
Northern Puppy. Gone to the other end of the spectrum with 25/1 apiece Peerless Trio and Reynolds Badger, both each-way. Top end, seen Droopys Buick bumped and flop before, Camp Joker not the most reliable of starters, don't think Calzaghe Billy has the early speed and Ballymac Sheehy become most disappointing. Pretty hopeful, Pat Rosney's bitch will qualify okay at least, then take it from there
Scurry. Target Harris was a huge flop in this last year and although good trials, prefer to look elsewhere. Last year, Baliff Cairo beat Skate On and Flashing Bolt, with Brogan Tee Bone last and my main pick at 12/1. Also, very small each-way interests 40/1 Gainstown Storm and 50/1 Tip Joes Hat
Kent St Leger. Re-match of the Golden Jacket where Wiki Waki Woo beat Bubbly Time. However, Bubbly has come on leaps and bounds and rates the bet at 11/4
Good luck!

Had a great few weeks with over £400 profit then, just when you think you got the game by the nuts, 2/9 and 4/7 chances eliminated antepost, costing me over a score

All England. If you're yet to play or crashed and burned first round like me, still can't believe both Swift Hoffman and Minglers Thunder out, VC go best prices the top 5 in the market
Still not convinced Calzaghe George the strongest of stayers but played at 5/1, seeing as he's the most obvious dog to reach the final, then if clad red again could be halfway there, with nothing too much coming from behind. Considered Maum Legend, Glenpadden Rock but felt too risky with no hiding places in those other 2 semis
With only Reynolds Badger each-way, re-considered the Northern Puppy Derby Derby too. Decided, unless Camp Joker has become very reliable at the start, he won't normally be doing 4.60 splits, so 10/1 Ballymac Sheehy, each-way, bound to make more a race of it next time if they both reach the final. One other bet, just a tiny interest 66/1 Burnfoot Rumble, each-way. He should be able to lead most left in this event and although end time not there, would be benefitting from trouble behind
Good luck!

You've now bet a 3/1, 5/1 and 10/1 shot in the All England Cup, even to level stakes you're betting that dog @ 1/2 with what you'd have lost on the other 2 and I would say you where more heavily involved in Swift Hoffman

Like a roulette wheel, once you've lost, gotta start from scratch. Lost just over a fiver Hoff to win £18, shade over £3 Minglers to win £35. £5 George would win £30. Roughly £13 staked, so yes, guess just over evens but would be happy just getting £30 in the bank

you're forgetting newton's 4th law PF...woody always includes his stake in his "winnings", and all offsetting losing bets are ignored for the purposes of totting up the P/L
all losers are "coppers" or "minimum steaks", all winners have "just paid for a world cruise"
welcome to the world of walter mitty

Not sure Walter Mitty fits the bill , Billy Liar might be more appropriate says he works 24 hours all day every day at the game yet cant work out or doesn't know his winnings on a simple fiver at 5/1 then says Maths is not his forte
Think he needs to spend that 24 hours a day on a GCSE in Maths

Mitty is a meek, mild man with a vivid fantasy life: in a few dozen paragraphs he imagines himself a wartime pilot, an emergency-room surgeon, and a devil-may-care killer. The character's name has come into more general use to refer to an ineffectual dreamer and appears in several dictionaries.[2] The American Heritage Dictionary defines a Walter Mitty as "an ordinary, often ineffectual person who indulges in fantastic daydreams of personal triumphs".
^^that is absolutely BANG ON character imo

"Lost just over a fiver Hoff to win £18" .......... absolutely clueless ...you said Hoff was 3-1 .... its hardly fecking rocket science is it ....if it was 3-1 then he would have had £6 to win £18.
The fact that he consistently supplies this bu11sh1t suggests he is either Walter Mitty , Billy Liar or Forest Gump .... take your pick

The 3 I put up in the Scurry still going, fingers crossed. £1.50 Cairo at 12/1 returns lion's share of £20, 48p Gainstown Storm, each-way and 24p win at 40/1 returns nearly £35 and 48p Tip Joes Hat, each-way, at 50/1 returns £31. Total stakes £3.66, I'll leave you to work out the potential clear profit!

Wouldn't mind that Sparrow but with critics like PF and in this instance Safari, feel a need to defend myself. No idea what blocked other knockers like Wonder, Irish and Eyeball say but rest assured, they will be criticising

Angel Oaks Domino Storm showed what she can do Derby final night and is top class on her day. Seems slightly off the boil but chance to bounce back to her formidable best here. However, at the prices, think 8/1 Pinpoint Dazl more appealing. Speedy bitch who may keep going well enough to lift the trophy
Great North Run This competition looks much harder to go big price 25/1 Barnish Panther, each-way. Just think fair chance to qualify with potential for price to crumble. Furthest been before 630m, so stamina taken on trust but standard distance form augurs reasonable hopes. Your favourite is rightly so Elwick Glory and the 8/1 Calzaghe Lisa has gone. Can see each-way possibilities all over the place, but think just going to make one more play at this stage, which is 12/1 Blackhouse Heidi who can do enough on occasions
Good luck!

On the individual races, had plenty of interest too
7.39 2/1 Ballymac Sheehy. Could be too sharp for Calzaghe Billy initially and looks sure to go close. May kick off a great night for Draper in fine style
8.10 At the prices, preferring 10/1 Burnfoot Rumble each-way, compared to short Calzaghe Matt on leadability claims
8.26 12/1 Sandyhill Hitman, each-way. Seen him beat fav Maum Legend over this c/d before
8.42 3/1 Glenpadden Rock. It might only be a 5-dogger but a case could be made for any. Farloe Nutter edges favouritism inside Rock but a sharp exit from Rock can pave the way for victory and provide Draper with a grand double
Looking at a couple more bets in Great North Run heats but waiting for all to price up
Good luck!

Aero Inferno must have the plague, 14 and 12s outright and 10/3 for the heat
Droopys Vodka is even shorter for the heat with some firms ?? Was destroyed to the corner last week and never looked like catching Inferno
Thought Inferno would be better off in 3 than 2 seen as he moved off last week from 2, traps the same he should avoid the 4 dog and then i would expect him to lead all again, thought the only real danger once he comes away would be Maum Legend

I can see you like the form of Tootsies Doncaster race Fatty. Tess loses rails now but hope you get a good run
9.15 Had a bet on the 3/1 'cast Elwick Glory to beat Shellam Maeby. Same result as recently highly likely
9.48 Competitive race but thought 7/2 Blackhouse Heidi and 8/1 Lowgate Jasper nice prices. Both a bit quirky but capable when putting it all in. Sided with Heidi
Good luck!

I did enjoy that toot race at Donny Thou at one point I didn't think she was going to pick tess up !
Think your spot on with 9-15 Now trap one non runner can't see why Elwick doesn't grab the rails Maeby would have to be a good one to back run that while that's on the hare
Ain't got opinion on the rest of card didn't watch last week

Bitterly disappointing Sheehy. Nothing like time before making his own problems running off this time. Winner Billy would have been the one on sp prices, 4/1

Not easy, but got loads of dogs through to their respective finals. Holding some fancy priced antepost tickets like 8/1 Pinpoint Dazl (best now 9/2), 25/1 Barnish Panther each-way (now 10/1), 5/1 Calzaghe George (now 11/4), 12/1 Baliff Cairo (now 5/2) and 40/1 Gainstown Storm each-way (now 12/1.)
Topped up Storm

Found myself light in the Northern Puppy Derby so sided with Buick on a 7.6/1 double with Wiki, Kent St Leger. Camp is the type to keep pulling off the front but if Buick closer this time, could be a grandstand finish. Always liked Wiki and she's capable of upsetting odds-on Tamera
Good luck!

This is true Ebul but think it could still go either way so bigger price Wiki swayed me, as don't really want to be backing Tamera at that odds-on price, 4/7

if that silly sod had taken his dark glasses off on Saturday he may have seen it was massive rails......accordingly Tamera's run can be upgraded from extremely well to extraordinarily well and will probably justify her cramped odds in the final.......have the 40p/70p......

Hot All England Cup final last year where Newinn Yolo beat Pinpoint Maxi and Maum Legend, so the last named obviously must be given the utmost respect again. Just hoping Calzaghe George beats him to the punch and plugs on well enough

Already dealt with the Northern Puppy Derby and don't think Elwick Glory would be giving up the lead to Shellam Maeby in the Great North Run this time. Fairly hopeful Pinpoint Dazl can start and go up quicker in the Angel Of The North to turn the tables on Domino Storm

Personally, got 25/1 Barnish Panther each-way in the Great North Run but not sure of the place terms, so phoned Ladbrokes customer services to be told 2 places after he was looking at horse racing meetings. Have you ever tried to talk to a monkey? They just look at you with those big brown eyes and you feel the need to give them a banana. After putting me on hold about 6 times, he said the horses are 3 places. I'm not sure for an 18 runner event. Should it be 4 places. Anybody know, please?

Backing each way and not knowing the place terms, ffs. Even if I did somehow do so little work to place a bet on terms I did not know I would not be highlighting it on here, no matter what price I was on at and why price it was now, it makes you look silly and shows how much work you put into the selection

Assumed 4 places, thought it has been before in such events but it didn't show on the slip so enquired, that's all. I don't really need to find out when my bet's 60p each-way to return just £20 and £4 the place roughly. Don't deal in hundreds like you PF. Anyway, it had to reach the final first, didn't it? You're either getting too serious or like I said recently, moaning old goat
Would swop Calzaghe George for Maum Legend now. Suppose could lay my 5/1 George and back Maum but price gone now
Some firms are going 5/4 Camp and 9/4 Buick but surely there cant be that much of a difference
Of the supports, favouring Alessio in the sprint. Cathal has looked fast at Notts but Alessio preferred at 7/2
Although outstanding at Sheffield, cant bring myself to back Minglers Thunder. Could be he's just a different proposition round Owlerton, so 8/1 Bramble Ted each-way might be okay
10/3 Alma Prince to upset strong odds-on Ribble Atom late
9/2 Lowgate Jasper worth another chance in competitive six-bender
Good luck!
