Dorando looks an absolute Cracker

By:
Decent sprint. Tiger Tots only reserve, though?
By:
Excellent Card tbh I have been known to moan about quality in past certainly no lack of that on Saturday
![]() |
By:
Wouldnt go too overboard Case but of the supports, looking forward to watching Harris, Brogan and Teddy in particular
![]() |
By:
By:
Teddy be odds on can't wait !
Anglo Irish derby invitation that is joke ain't it ! Salonika solo irish runner ! Two plays for me one in 8 bends the other in the bitchs !! Funny the final the best race !! Odd that ![]() |
By:
Think the Dorando is a blinding race quality Wise Perhaps the best 6 dog line up I have ever seen for a marathon
![]() |
By:
Have to agree regarding the Dorando, but I look forward to all marathon races.
By:
I'm the opposite Sparrow. Marathons not my favourite cup of tea, same as hurdles. Dont it's totally natural to put a greyhound over extreme distances, they're more for speed, imo. But, yes, very good Dorando field this year
By:
Agree regarding hurdle racing. When I first went greyhound racing there was no such thing as 2 bend races except for a once a year competition at Southend called the Silver Salver. This was at a time when people attended in their thousands.
By:
You seem even more experienced than me Sparrow, but i remember the Silver Salver, think when it was run at Canterbury?
By:
Only recall it at Southend, but after that I wouldn't have a clue as I had no interest in it at all.

Southend Stadium was a former greyhound racing track in Grainger Road, Southend, Essex.[1] It was also the home ground of Southend United between 1934 and 1955.
The stadium opened for racing in September 1931 which provided Southend with a permanent track following an unsuccessful attempt by promoters in 1927 on the Kursaal, Southend on Sea. In 1948 Rayleigh in Southend provided the sport with a second Southend track but it was overshadowed by its bigger neighbour. Southend was the first greyhound track to film in colour television pictures and hosted a major competition called the Thames Silver Salver and remained a popular track until its closure on Boxing Day 1985. The site is now a retail park. |

fats how you know you got two plays if there arent any prices out
![]() 4 or 5 i'm interested in one or two i really fancy strong but just have to see what prices are knocking about |
By:
Sure Fatty's projected prices will be pretty close to Billies actual ones. Besides, personally, if i really like and fancy a dog to win, wouldn't necessarily let half a point or so less put me off, even a full point come to that. Makes less of a difference at smaller stakes
By:
Well, anyway lost on heat betting so you'll be pleased to hear not quite as rosy in the garden as you may think. Having said that, even if i gain nothing antepost with Bish, Paper, Davy winning, I've had a great deal of interest for my investment throughout. If i only end up breaking even outright, next stop Shelbourne!

Any idea when shows are going to go up for live card? Seem to remember hills doing them weds/thurs last year and 365 being next?
By:
ask Woody, his tissue will be the exact same as both firms
![]() |
By:
Ha
Only one way to find out, can't aftertime if he puts his show up now for the live sky card then... |
By:
I am surprised they have not put up prices for the Dorando and Invitation yet, they usually go up first. No firm will go up before Billies anyway i would imagine, like an unwritten rule
By:
Any guesstimations for the Sprint?
Maybe 7/4 Harris 7/2 Skate 7/2 Brewery 4/1 Griffin 10/1 Van 12/1 Pace About 118% |
By:
I even done the sprint
an ante post bet on a hurdle race, priced up the sprint and i think there is a bloody good thing in the Dorando - fack i need another shower, feel so dirty |
By:
Booked tickets. All systems go I'm coming down!

By:
I am v keen to see the prices for the dorando
By:
Yassoo Martin NR in the 7:11 - facks sake Teds Last be about 4s on in that now
may as well make that piss break timeFizzypop Magic NR in the 9:57 Both traps vacant - no reserves wanna run? Why wasn't Ribble Atom entered in that second marathon anyway? She would near have won the thing |
By:
years ago the dorando was the last race on the card
finished about 11 p m favourite nearly always won it everyone went home happy ! ![]() |
By:
Irish
For many years the last race on the card was a maxi-marathon - 10 bends - about 1100 yards. I remember a dog of Nicky Chambers winning on one of Rapid Ranger's nights. Can't recall the dog's name but I think it was one short word. Help me out someone! Didn't Travel Now also win it once? |
By:
Cant recall the dog Wales. What's happened to the Consolation race?
By:
I miss the long distance hurdle race
a mixture of 2 of my favourite disciplines ![]() |
By:
why are they taking so long to price card up? Is it the lack of recent form for most runners or sumfin
![]() |
By:
They're all too busy on twatter waving willys telling everyone how good they are while having their testicles tickled by the RP chief correspondent
By:
Hills have priced up the Dorando

Phoned Billies. Man who answered went through to the traders to ask when prices. He told me they seem a bit flustered and it might not be 'eil 4pm tomorrow
