Watching from 8K miles away and I though both were playing around, they slowed very quickly after the line.

Well said irish.  Quattro's strength and stamina and superb draw saw him home.  Farloe Blitz has been brilliant and has lit up this Derby.

Wedge, I am a true dog man, been in the game for years, backed Blitz ante post, laid off last week so a big profit guaranteed either way, always want the best dog to win, prob a tad harsh in what I said re Quatro, but can not see how it done that tonight but could not get neat Blitz in earlier races

Just watched race again, 6 went past 2, that sums it up, never mind, well done all winners

but on a night where there was 2 times quicker it was nothing special,
not trying to detract anything from the winner at all, my point was on the night
the best dog won, as someone said earlier end of.

a lot of very very good fast dogs in a derby final no one is going to get a clear to do the clock

The winner has been trained to perfection and clearly the trainer knew he was very special and didn't over-race him.  Top marks to him and, like Seamus Graham before him, great to see him win it at last.

What a story that is, Rab spotting his potential on tv, in a handicap at Brough Park.  Whatever way you look at it it is the mark of GENIUS.

I am left to wonder as to whether Blitz was right, to wander out wide like that and capitulate, but it's all history now.  If Eden had been in white we'd have seen Rab doing a "boom" for my dough.  I hope they don't get too busy with this dog.  Bring him back fit, and fresh next year, and anything is possible.  Pure class the pup is.

The 6 dog deserves immense credit when you consider that he was the first wide runner placed after 8 races.
