drifted like a barge from 14's to 21's a few days ago and i smelt a rat.  The biggest giveaway was the 100's at 5's that appeared wanting to lay him to make the final, should have been around 6/4 now.

had some on at 14's looking to trade him but then someone took him to 20's and i was fooked.  think a fair few quid was matched at that and when it was taken, more 20's became available straight away.  And when combined with every other dog being hammered,  maverik, sanchez and now salonika, i knew something was up. Didnt say out but suspected something was up and was fairly fortunate that some poor soul took alot of 20's last night and my 17.00 that i had up this morning had gone.  When this went i thought he was ok to be honest and had 200 up at 14.00 which is still there but now coming back from town, he's 50+. Sad

the money knew, the drift was alarming.

Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y June 16, 2015 1:05 PM BST
Aye I am the bellend, you're happy people got shafted by the bookmakers knowing the dog was not likely to run which I have been told for fact.

I has €50 @ 20, €70 @ 21 and €150 @ 16s - so no I have no done my bollox but am heavily pissed off at the way they've acted, I spotted what going on a few minutes too late unfortunately for me

As for his run Saturday I thought he ran poor enough and was desperate lucky to qualify but then he absolutely walked out and still clocked in the 28:40s

There's a thread elsewhere on the forum referencing the halcyon days of the Derby at White City.  Compare that magnificent event to what we have today.  For what it's worth you have my sympathy PF. I lost my money on this years event before the first heat was run as Blake didn't make the trip.  I accept that was part of the risk of backing ante-post. However, what's happened here leaves a bad taste in the mouth and I can understand your anger and I for one, feel for you..

I just don't understand why people continue to bet on this sh1te...its a massive guess up even for judges and firms like hills will try and get from you 1 way or another, playing dirty where necessary and no holding back
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y June 16, 2015 1:20 PM BST
Thanks Aladdin but I don't expect anybodies sympathy, i done a few quid and that happens. I just don't like the way they acted here, personally i think it is utterly disgusting and we wonder why younger people (like myself) have zero interest in getting involved in the sport.

Had i been more on the ball i would have noticed the situation or had i made the call before chucking a few quid at it i would have knew what was going on so i can accept that's my fault but that does not mean i should not call them out for what exactly they are.
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y June 16, 2015 1:22 PM BST
Added to that why they're trying to nick a few extra quid when Willie had bet the dog to win absolute fortunes with them seems pathetic
Report everton-fc June 16, 2015 1:31 PM BST
Someone on twitter asked Scott Murray about the drift, @ScottMurray85, William Hill Greyhound Odds Compiler

reply was

''yes he wasn't fancied on the back of his last run, did u think he was a 10/1 poke on the back of his last run?''

So they are simply saying they were out to lay Nidge after the last run on Saturday, so why the drift this morning? not Sunday/Monday?

guys the drift happened 2 days ago,  i had 14's up to bet him, and that was taken, so i put up 13's to trade out like a flithy trader does.

But then someone put up 15's, and 16's and left it there.  Small drift i thought, but poor-ish run someone bailing out i thought.

Put up wanting to back some 18's and 21's and 40's to see how badly they really wanted to get out. 18 and 21's went and i then tried to be a filthy trader again and put up 17's to trade out.

But someone put a chunk up at 21.  i took a few quid, on all known infor that was a wrong price and i suspected i could get out later.

Watching the amounts tho, as soon as someone took some more 20's, more would become available.  I went to the to make final market and saw 5/1 to make the final.  I was so tempted and nearly took it all to cover a big red outright somewhat but thought better of it. As bets for sanchez, maverik, bish and nipper all came in.

I put up some 21's to reverse my back and it was nibbled but someone put up 22's and few quid at 23.  It stunk but i didnt have info, just smelt a rat.  I didnt say nout as i needed to take about 400 quid from 17's down wards.  Overnight, the 20's was nibbled and this morning someone, probably pf then had taken 150 at 17.00 and price i thought was now correcting itself.

went to town

came back and now 500+

the money knew a few days ago sometime sunday.  dont think il come to night of stars this year?

Anyone who backed Nidge after saturday must have had some bizarre `inside info' that he
was being stopped last weekend to set up a coup for the rest of the derby.

Would there have been an inquest if that had happened?
Report MullahOmar June 16, 2015 7:01 PM BST
And yes the good thing is that this stuff happens very infrequently on the dogs.

On the 'orses there are non runners laid every 5 minutes and every other race has 5 horses with
vertical graphs that finish tailed. It is rancid x1000% compared to this game.
