Best guide to the competition is the trial stakes on April 16th where Billys Bullet beat Touch Tackle, Britania Belucky (surprisingly beaten last time), Watch N Learn (2nd in a blanket finish in the final last year) and Millwards Teddy (not in last year's Leger form.) No reason to think Billys wont confirm with those and had a good bet 3/1, seeing as I'm still not sure about Droopys Cottage and Alma Prince, pair shouldnt catch Billys in a clean race. Sure the forum would like to see Swansalona Diva go well and should, but looks held by Touch Tackle, who did me a good turn winning the Queen Mother Memorial at Sheffield. Had a little nibble 25/1 Aayamzamodel each-way for the place money. Game, nippy (recent 4 bend winner) and will stay okay having won over 750m

Agree re swindon run,how i saw the race(probably not the best person to judge the run tho tbh)..She beat touch tackle outa lids and for early pace,shes trapped wide by the 5,eases up outa the 2nd bend to come inside him,meanwhile touch tackle uses his dream run to get the run on her for the 3rd bend,hes been stopped by 5 and she bounces off him also,she more or less matches touch for speed 3rd to 5th,where the run before touch has taken lengths outa billys and he grinds away from her late,not surprising after one 4 bend trial in a month and touch tackle is wound like a guitar string. I actually thought it was a cracking run and shes beat and matched touch at the points of the race where it matters this trip imo. Im sure most will just look at the run and think touch has beaten her 4 and a bit and thats that,i was actually more convinced she could actually win the regency after the swindon run than after sitters tbh,maybe thats an owners view though.  |
