Report LoyalHoncho December 20, 2014 9:10 PM GMT
Joke of a track or not - and I disagree with that statement - Fairest Royal in the last, is the bet of the night - anywhere.
Report sparrow December 20, 2014 9:16 PM GMT
Not taking a penny on betfair at Towcester races.
Report SlippyBlue December 20, 2014 9:32 PM GMT

Would rather have a bet at Kinsley that Towcestor it's than bad

Crayford makes a fair race seem a distance memory compared with the big T
Report casemoney December 21, 2014 2:25 PM GMT
prob with bubbly is if dog on rail in front of it it takes 1/2 hour  to manouvre its way past it ran into puma a couple of times last night ,specsavers dog imo Happy
Report Ravage Again December 21, 2014 2:34 PM GMT
Year agree 100 per cent the dog

But I think the main problem with Towcestor is the dogs just seem to dive into the rails kamikasie style
Report casemoney December 21, 2014 2:56 PM GMT
Only watched last week Ravage deffo not my cup of tea tbh ,What MDM says spot on they had the room ,I was expecting a new White city type track ,not somewhere you could drive an artic round in circles, lookin at Don plans the track looks like it

Report woodmanchester December 26, 2014 7:57 AM GMT
Possibly, slightly wider open to the elements than other tracks but don't see why it should be colder in Towcester than anywhere else, unless it's blowing a gale?
Report bbc2 December 26, 2014 10:58 AM GMT
towcester is very cold in summer

Report Ravage Again December 26, 2014 12:58 PM GMT

I hope he meant gloves Mischief
Report woodmanchester December 26, 2014 12:59 PM GMT
Surely cant be any colder than further north Manchester on a wet and windy day?
Report LoyalHoncho December 27, 2014 1:12 PM GMT
Waiting on one dog in particular getting fit and racing at Towcester.  This one is as good a bend runner as there is around at present and I'm convinced the track will fir like a glove.  Will advise as and when..
Report noitsnotme January 2, 2015 9:02 PM GMT
only £1 matched in the 8.42 and £44 in the 8.49, not really worth put it on here

skybet have them at 5/2 favourite to win the bags track championship 2015 .......Crazy
Report Ravage Again January 4, 2015 10:06 AM GMT
Practically ever race won by the dog that led early

O dear dig the track up and start again guv Shocked
Report go racing January 9, 2015 11:01 AM GMT
Watched it on SIS last night, they have not taken a bit of notice about the camera angles and yet again came away dizzy. As for the racing, an odds on dog in 2 that would have won by 6 at Hove got beat as it couldn't pass on the giant circle of a joke track design. Heard that one top name trainer already wants to jack and unfortunately can't see it being here next Christmas if that don't alter the configuration. What an opportunity missed to make it world class, now it is a giant flying saucer that no dog man wants to take seriously!
Report the.mad.dog.man January 9, 2015 11:42 AM GMT
i also heard a trainer not happy with track
Report wondersobright January 9, 2015 11:56 AM GMT
new track = great
sounds like everyone delighted with the restaurant etc

unfortunately the mistakes they've made on the racing side ie track design, 8 dogs, %s on 1st night, camera angles, trials cancelled etc
making nearly every mistake going Sad

this will never be a track for me
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK January 9, 2015 12:18 PM GMT
I heard I heard bollox name the trainer than????
Report patrick starr January 9, 2015 12:31 PM GMT
Have moved one of my dogs from there already, variety of reasons tbh, cant get a trial never mind a run,no streaming, cant get recordings from the track (when you do see a race the camera angles are awful) plus hes a slow starting wide that may even struggle to grade on when they put the eclipse 3rd in A3 Shocked

Absolutely love the place, facilities and betting wise (if you can win at rommers you can win here) but just doesnt suit me personally as a long distance graded owner there, how can you not get recordings of your own dogs races without going through s.i.s or the hassle of setting up your own feed?
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK January 9, 2015 12:40 PM GMT
PS SPOT ON
THERE GOING TO BE EDGE THERE

CANT SEE WHY PUNTERS BE CRYING ABOUT THE PLACE

Report wondersobright January 9, 2015 12:45 PM GMT

how many people are actually betting there regularly other than at track?
liquidity is non existant on here
can you get a bet on with high st books?
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK January 9, 2015 12:59 PM GMT
I SAID PUNTERS ON HERE
ARE YOU ONE OF THEM ?
Report wondersobright January 9, 2015 1:06 PM GMT
haven't had 1 bet there yet

don't think many punters on here could give 2 fcks about betting there tbh
Report patrick starr January 9, 2015 1:15 PM GMT
Televised opens are the only times ive had a proper go there, have been one other time over xmas but just played the tote all night for fun, havent had a bet there since and doubt i will till its televised again or streamed somewhere tbh.

Them thursday night opens may as well have been run on the moon for betting purposes which is a shame when you consider the sums that were bet on the henlow guff the same night.
Report wondersobright January 9, 2015 1:21 PM GMT
TV is king nowadays
people dont bring their armchair to the track
Report dr . atkins January 9, 2015 2:24 PM GMT
when asked to buy a dog at the track the trainer said 5grand upwards Laugh.  i see dogs who ran in a 10,000 pound final the other week were running for 145 pound last saturday night i could buy a dog for 500pound and run it around crayford for that prize money
Report Ravage Again January 9, 2015 4:45 PM GMT
See practically every race again on thurs was won with a dog that led early
Report the.mad.dog.man January 9, 2015 5:02 PM GMT
think portman park have a better track then towcester
Report Czechbet January 9, 2015 5:15 PM GMT
a few on here would be negative even in a positive situation..

but have agree even with the usual suspects in this instance so far its been a pathetic start, no streaming or vids wtf? no betting, dogs not getting runs... and the track itself yawn yawn yawn!!!

only need to be a "5 second greyhound punter" real talent and vision not required

Report Ravage Again January 9, 2015 8:34 PM GMT
Yer I heard pat had £10K on target Harris to win a marathon at Towcestor last week

He got the 20-1 at the track but knew the other five dogs would keep running up each other arses at the bends
Report patrick starr January 9, 2015 8:53 PM GMT
yes ravage,i did the bet after the race, always the best way imo
Report the.mad.dog.man January 10, 2015 4:04 PM GMT
if kempton built a greyhound track like white city or wembley it would be packed there easy to get there trains nearby build it and they will come
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK January 10, 2015 5:10 PM GMT

It's ****! Takes 50 min when it should take about 20 min left good amount coke  bottles full of piss
After day at kempton on that slow moving thing
Report the.mad.dog.man January 10, 2015 6:11 PM GMT

Report beccaboo January 15, 2015 6:58 PM GMT
Been away for a month, and interested by the comments made, as this new venture in my opinion will make or break the greyhound industry. I watched the big sky meeting and the one thing that occurred to me, was the width of the track. As the track was built for 8 dog racing, the 6 dog races did not suit the dogs who ran wide, as they had to cover more ground than normal.
Report woodmanchester January 15, 2015 9:27 PM GMT
Becca, surely only wide runners would use the full width of the track?
Report woodmanchester January 15, 2015 9:30 PM GMT
How dya spell it anyway? Always thought it was Towcester
Report beccaboo January 16, 2015 11:34 AM GMT
Correct woodman, hence the bias towards railers. Maybe they should have an Olympic style start with a staggered start for all lanes!!
