As bad an advert tonight as could ever have been imagined for the amazing effort and expense that Lord Hesketh has endured.

With prices on all races having been advertised all day, this character has led the march to putting the track immediately on to the back foot.

How does this man come to have two pitches out of four ? silly question really....... i know....... but the great sportsman Lord Hesketh ain't touching cloth, and it's a situation that needs immediate remedy.

Have to agree-the prices they offered tonight was an embarrassment.
Shame because the track looks great and the effort put in by the Towcester management deserves better. The bookies far better off long term creating a good impression but obviously that's not their concern.I went to back two dogs ,but couldn't possibly have a bet on track at the prices and frankly don't see any reason to return if that's the norm.

i have to agree with what's been written above, having seen this johnson firm betting at windsor and newbury over the years i would have to agree that no self respecting punter is going to go to this track to bet, the betting percentages last night were a absolute disgrace when considering the quality of racing and prize money on offer.
towcester signing up for a bags contract is also a mistake, remember the stow, i used to go to bags mondays and fridays the beer was half price and you could get a punnetr of chips for a pound, it was so badly publicised that even the local drunks didn't turn up, a 6/4 winner used to pay 1/9 on the tote it was like a ghost town and you could have got all the punters in attendance on to 1 double decker bus and still had plenty of room left over, surely chris page must realise this, and bear in mind this is walthamstow, right in the hustle and bustle of east london, where's towcester?, in the middle of nowhere so who on earth is going to go to a average meeting
