Div 1 of a trial stakes Monday night looks quite a race. It includes: Mays King, Southern Mesut, Ballygibbon King and Aero Nemesis

In Div 2, returning to action is the smart Swift Keith, who hasn't raced since the third round of the Derby

What's the accurate assessment
On jack this week ?

What's it lame, didn't stay ,?

Who just plain fact  it needed the run last week ?
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK • September 9, 2014 8:51 AM BST
Wish I took 16/1 last week
People where to quick right him off
Report woodmanchester • September 9, 2014 9:13 AM BST
Not me, me, just the dogs I've backed. Only a reminder what I got left, not that anybody cares. Thought Dak a bit unlucky but Nemesis disappointing. Strange camera angle. Couldn't really see if he was slowly away, stumbled or something?

Re-Jack 5.28 split compared to 5.36 the time before. He needs to be away and clear to show his best, imo

Leamaneigh Turbo was on my shortlist but you (avoided saying i) cant back them all. There I go again, my, my, my, me, me, me but dunno what i'm supposed to say instead?
Report woodmanchester • September 9, 2014 9:16 AM BST
Oh, Leamaneigh did "ME" a good turn, as well as other i'm sure, at Monmore Laugh
Report icantbelieveyousaidthat • September 9, 2014 3:27 PM BST
The accurate assessment of round 2 is that he ran a lot better but after how he ran last week a leap of faith would have been required to back him to win last night, let alone in the outright market.

Not surprisingly he was virtually unlayable at the track last night to anyone who saw him race in the first round.
Report woodmanchester • September 14, 2014 10:07 AM BST
With all the excitement surrounding Shelbourne Park, almost forgot about the East Anglian Derby. Got 20/1 antepost Southern Mesut. He won his semi and 9/4fav now. Tother one 50/1 Domino Storm, each-way, also qualified. Very good final including Swift Keith, Sidaz Jack and Rio Quattro. Outsider Forest Gavin completes the line-up
Report lanza • September 14, 2014 11:03 AM BST
You wernt the only one woody... one of the books still had the semi final odds up at 2 this morning...8/1 mesut + 5/1 sidaz.

i tried to deposit but still had a problem with me card.  lol.

Not really woody, my vic lay covered most of it Wink

QUITE peeved off...

all me night of stars stuff, the flights+1,  the fairyhouse entry+table, the hotel, night of stars money  all looked like dodgy irish transactions.

had a few quid on blake with paddies -ireland

booked me aug hols flights - ryan air -ireland

then went to deposit into daq and card kept getting declined.  had a call at 10.30 this morn off some computerised message off barclays asking if the attempted daq money / hills last night was actually me.  think they not happy...with all these gambling deposits?  haha.
Report woodmanchester • September 14, 2014 2:18 PM BST
I had the bank manager on my case too. I have a separate account for betting and he was frowning at all the transactions. Makes you feel guilty for betting. They cant be having you spending your own money, can they? Plain
Report Swayne • September 14, 2014 6:20 PM BST
wood, ask you bank manager if he or any of his close family play the lottery..and tell him it's 175 million to 1 of winning a large jackpot (dont know if that's true but I read it in a newspaper article).. perhaps you shoud frown on bank manager looking after your money, when he gambles on such ridiculous odds

Don't think much of the planning for Sky. Sure we would have preferred to see sprinting ace Geelo Vegas live rather than the one-paced performers in div 2 of the marathon.

Picked a couple out. I make them favourites but should get fair enough prices when all priced up tomorrow. Not a very good card but the Derby Invitation decent enough
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK • September 16, 2014 8:54 AM BST
Woody I like the fact this card
As mixed up 4-6-8 bend dogs in the 6-8 bend races
there might be a bit value about cos
I know for sure the firms ain't going to have clue
The % be good , BIG BUT need to find the winners

The final on paper best line up I've seen for while
Can see it being messy thou

Have taken the 2/1 on Farley Rio in the 904 hoping there's no better in the morning (If there is I'll have to top up), think it's one of the best bets I've seen in a long time.

Fancy Rio myself. Never raced this far but got 640m Sunderland when leading and question marks about others like Fish doesn't strike as a proper staying type and Stainless become very disappointing

Like Mays King from rails if away well and Jaytee China doesn't have a Rewind Express on to deal with on the inside this time

Good luck!

Southern Mesut would be a very good win for me but hard to master Sidaz Jack early. Think it depends which one Charlie wants to win with. Sure he wont let them "do" each other. Swift Keith a bigger price now than he was before the semis!

Report woodmanchester • September 17, 2014 8:53 AM BST
Hush my mouth but are all only human, unless you think there are lizard men amongst us! Laugh. See how it pans out. How would a trainer feel if his two finalists ruin it for each other when joint favs for a very large pot?

Raided my piggy bank for small bets on the small races tonight. 10/3 Bills Heartbeat. Tricky race but Golden Wonder obviously needs the rails and the run and Guinness Spark off the boil.

14/1 Mays Magicmatty, each-way. Ran reasonably behind King Kane in his last marathon and although lacks speed, could pinch a place late behind Crazy Weasley who is entitled to start this short in a very poor marathon, imo

Got some 9/2 Art Banksy but only a small investment at the exaggerated price

Good luck!

Report woodmanchester • September 17, 2014 9:40 AM BST
Some dogs running here at Yarmouth tomorrow like Hather George and Skate On wouldn't have gone amiss on tonight's card, to give it a much-needed boost

Thats a good point wonders, the standard "side on" as the traps open at yarmouth is a real treat, yet i watched back some of last weeks rommers stuff and thats on a completely different level of ineptitude! Shockingly bad ShockedSad
Report wondersobright • September 17, 2014 11:22 AM BST
the latest I've seen of yarmouth is a close up of the traps as they open and then a switch to the main side on angle for the run up, its a right ball ache but sky will probably top that by switching to the head on after about 3 seconds of the main side on angle for maximum inconvenience

Think really Keith only won coz of the crowding ahead. Charlie looked nailed on along back straight but as said, his pair ruined it for each other. What's that? £15k down the drain! We see it time after time a dog withdrawn coz of a poor draw, backed up by a dodgy vet's certificate. But obviously, both had to run for owners sakes
Report woodmanchester • September 17, 2014 11:52 PM BST
Great race really, virtually all had a pop at the prize at some stage
Report Homeugopuppy • September 18, 2014 12:14 AM BST
Agree woody about it being a great race to watch, time was nothing great but with 6 good dogs lining up always was going to be a chance of a little trouble. Every dog looked to have a chance at winning at some point due to the bumping last bend. Was very impressed with swift keith determination of last bend, seems a completely different dog to last year, lost some of his early pace but staying a lot better now.

Did not think was best of cards at first however there were some good and interesting races in the end. I think the importance of a trial round Yarmouth was for all to see tonight with the 2 shortest dogs of the night both running of at the bends costing them there chances of winning. Don't think there is a track in the country where it is more important to have a trial than Yarmouth.
