On Sunday nights it always seems to be about the 'dream' that a few people have about dog racing. I am old enough to remember enormous crowds at White City. Those days are gone and will never return. It has found it's level. The crowds on Epsom Downs last Saturday for the Derby were nowhere near what they were like 50 years ago. Same thing. The presenters on RPGTV seem to think there are thousands of people out there who could be brought into dog racing. People who live near dog tracks know they are there, but are not interested. Youngsters are more interested in the machines in betting shops than studying the dog cards. They think companies who have no connection with the dogs are going to sponsor races. Why would they?. They are not going to get much publicity for their money are they. Why would anyone spend thousands on greyhounds when prize money at some tracks is a disgrace. A6 at Wimbledon £48. And thats the track all these people on RPGTV want to save. Coventry tried to improve everything but it all went wrong. I'm afraid the 'Dream' will only remain a Dream.

I concur with much of what you say Clacton ..... however RPGTV is not promoting the sport as such , it actually is promoting a betting medium, which is hardly surprising in view of the fact its sponsored by the bookies. The conversation is inane , boring and frankly embarrassingly useless in many cases when trying to educate or pass on knowledge, it could be so much better if they dropped the three people behind the desk routine, got off there gravy train backsides more often and got out into the sport.

Promoting a betting medium and most of the firms wont take a bet.Ladcrookes will allow me to win £10 from them. What a shambles of a firm. Lost £100 in 3 days and they restricted me. JK always has plenty to say, but cant ever remember him saying he's got any dogs. I wonder why.

Please please please stop moaning at everything and anything!
relax, enjoy yourself. If you are a greyhound fan then you've never had it so good.On main Sky 20 odd times a year plus 5 nights a week on RPGTV, replays of many opens from elsewhere too.
Remember this is a minority sport.
And if you don't like the presenters turn the bloody volume down. They are just background noise anyway. I cant believe that any 'dog man' actually takes the slightest bit of notice what they tip or not.
Chill out and enjoy!

I am chilled out Lee thanks very much, are you a quack ? . I come on here to give an opinion, my opinion is RPGTV needs a revamp, I already do mute except when the guest is of interest. I'm not a greyhound racing fan, I do out kennels and bet to try and pay for holidays, I love the dogs themselves . The sport is a minority sport because too many people

I agree that the show could be better with more features about stadia / kennels/ people involved in the industry/ spectators etc but i'm just thankful that there is now regular racing to watch, not just the sky sport broadcasts. I still regularly go racing to Hove and Crayford as well so i feel that things are markedly better than a few years ago.

Everything is Great ,and Just state the obvious ,and repeat things several times ,if you read the card for a couple of hours comparing times ,make a few selections ..If you make sure you agree everything is great again ,watch repeat videos of dogs being scattered all over a track ,and say they got up ok ,everything is great ..IF you can mention the Great prize money on offer for one race several times and again repeat something else that is obvious .IF you make sure you say dogs came again ,not that the other dog has blatantly refused ,If you can read some more emails about mythical bets ,and say nothing to offend anyone ..
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a RPGTV Man, my son!

Is it just in the wee small hours that you have these inspirational moments?
It would have been even more appropriate had you included something like......
If you can make one heap of all your winnings, and risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss.
Still, I believe Betfair are looking for a Forum Laureate, and I am putting your name forward.
Feck me Case - that's awfully profound. Is it just in the wee small hours that you have these inspirational moments? It would have been even more appropriate had you included something like...... If you can make one heap of all your winnings, and risk
