Ecclestone 90 odd average on here

thought he ran like a drain on first viewing tonight and got gifted a semi final place when those in front of him came together at the 3rd (will obviously rewatch races sometime)

draw looks as good as he could really have hoped for

lol

farley cost me 4 bags getting up tonight...and i deserve every bit of it after giving the dog an awful sl4gging Sad

have metro jack left and thats it,the place money would be nice but im on 1st 4 and i just know what will happen if he makes the final, after my biggest bet being on the dog that done the clock 1st round its been written in the stars that for me that this derby sucks eggs.

im guessing youre not loving crokers draw zola? admittedly he should get across but a msd break and hes got issues im thinking...
Report zolaisgod May 20, 2014 10:58 PM BST
would have preferred 3 or 4 pat as i think he breaks better from the middle but even off a missed break he should still front. im thinking/hoping they turn 5 from 1 and then both should qualify no prob.

Green up.
Report patrick starr May 21, 2014 4:00 PM BST
the only question you should ask yourself KoD "is aero nemesis or ecclestone shorter in price than i think they should be at this stage?"

if the answer is yes, then you green up,but even then there are different stages of "greening up" depending on how "wrong" you think their respective prices are.
Report LoyalHoncho May 21, 2014 4:20 PM BST
I would be worried about how Aero went to pick up last night - he folded up a lot earlier than usual.  I think this semi-final will really test his endurance   Eccleston just doesn't look good enough.
Report woodmanchester May 21, 2014 6:20 PM BST
Zola, did Trent do Ted? Know Trent clipped Brianna on the inside. Ted didn't look right to me.

4 left, Nemesis, Crokers, Trent and Netty. Backed Nemesis 4 times now from 40/1 downwards and very nice win. Very happy with Crokers or Trent. Netty just a money-back saver, but could be topping up. Most impressed with him last night
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y May 21, 2014 6:24 PM BST
I thought Jordans Brianna went wrong without any contact but then i was hardly paying much attention
Report zolaisgod May 21, 2014 6:26 PM BST

Anyone got a view on early paced runners not lasting the comp as well as the more staying types.

I know this probably sounds pretty naive but as LH stated above i watched the Aero Nemesis race again today and he seemed to do a hell of alot of running and could well lose his early "zip" after last nights run and if that is the case i doubt he will be staying on should he not ping?

PB sounded confident saying there was more to come from MTN which is nice to hear.
Report zolaisgod May 21, 2014 6:36 PM BST
mind the net is the fastest dog left without doubt. i think he is better from 5 or 6 but he seems to be holding his line from 3 and 4 fairly well in fairness. slightly tricky make up for him saturday but his all round pace should see him through
Report casemoney May 21, 2014 6:58 PM BST
Mind the net has deffo come forward trainer has done a great job thus far...

Nemesis was on 3 legs after line cramped badly ,must be a worry for conns ..

Crokers been very consistent a brave run last night ...
Report woodmanchester May 21, 2014 7:32 PM BST
Banana, think Nemesis should be okay. Think he's won over further in Ireland and didn't break like he can from T3 last night. Pie in the sky all this strong dogs do best. As seen on another thread, early motivation often lands the Derby. Strong dogs like Vanrooney, Sidarian Teejay came unstuck last night and don't think the staying types left like Ward, Kincraig, Salad and Chicken as good and may struggle. They must surely have surpassed all connections expectations already.

PS Salad and chicken sound like my lunch today! Laugh
Report woodmanchester May 21, 2014 7:33 PM BST
Agree Case, Netty looks red-hot presently, peaking at the right time and now his Scottish Derby conqueror Holdem Spy out, could be the one

When you were there on Tuesday woody did you see any sign of a race-punt on Ecclestone?
Report woodmanchester May 22, 2014 7:11 AM BST
Was watching the market moves first two semis, like I said they couldn't give Rooney and Spy away, but didn't pay as much attention second two semis. Do know you could have got 6/1-11/2 Ecclestone early morniing, though. Dunno what price he opened but short I reckon. When I looked, steady at 7/2 but noticed he returned 3/1 so yes, deffo plenty of money for him
Report lanza May 22, 2014 10:23 AM BST
strange dog ecclestone...  on his home form he should have been gone long time ago... i dont think he's got near 28.50 at sp once.
I was a huge price before his flying trial but he seems to be one of those dogs that likes the don, like impact and laughill george (pre injury) last yr who just take off there.

Having been filled in very quickly after that 28.27 and then again by not taking down his prices with the withdrawal of westmead chris (school boy error-i took all the others down)... iv been watching him fearing the worse.

But he seems to find trouble in almost every race so far then runs a blinder to run on and qualify.    Gonna be tough this week tho if he gets much trouble to run on and qualify with this lot.  Im hoping 5+1 qualify and then a blanket finish with the other 4 involved.
Report LoyalHoncho May 22, 2014 4:05 PM BST
He opened 6/1 in Hills. at least that was available twenty mins before the off.  His price reduced steadily from there so there was obviously some optimism.  Misplaced though.  Thanks.
