Looking forward to going Sheffield tomorrow in anticipation of pointers for the festival meeting, February 4th. The heats are next Tuesday.

Tomorrow, several races have been duplicated and wouldn't surprise me if Candy Wheel does quite well against Akerview Gem in the opening bitches race. Lister's got a fine prospect in Coolavanny Fish and Bowtime Fella ought to make amends for his recent reversal in the sprint.

Very interesting clash between Aghaburren Paddy, Whiterock and Stepaside Bigjak. The latter is a fast-starting bang railer and could hem in Whiterock, leaving Paddy to come through wide and late?

Killieford Khali left the money in the bookies satchels recently, but major force if slightly more handy this time.

In the other bitches race, could be a match between Greenwell Lark and Caseys Wonder.

The race of the night got to be Harry Holmes winner Candlelight King against Hather George and Corkish Mick. Tremendous race in prospect and all bets will be dependant on early prices, which we will hopefully get tomorrow

Droopys Dave doubtful runner in Dogs Final tomorrow SKY SHEFF
Report Homeugopuppy • February 3, 2014 2:38 PM GMT
Its a non runner, I bet odell with fred at 5/4 and it was under antepost so do I keep price or go on at sp if anybody knows? Thanks for any help in advance
Report woodmanchester • February 3, 2014 4:35 PM GMT
Once finalists decided, think most bookies state non runner - no bet, interpret that as you will
Report Homeugopuppy • February 3, 2014 5:48 PM GMT
Cheers for info woody still not 100% clear on it I will have to try look into it more and see if I can find out
Report Swayne • February 3, 2014 10:34 PM GMT
Homeugo, I bet 6/4 with H ills Sunday a.m. With them there is no rule 4 for dogs, the bet reverts to SP. They reformed market today and at time I went back into shop today had not released prices but said it would be 4/5...Lads said Odell will open with them tmrw 4/5 too.  I thought about the revised price of 11/10 best with Bet frod and decided it was fair value but not enough for me, cos Davein Trap 2 was slow away in my estimation, so to me the make up of the race had not really changed despite one non runner, so I reckoned I was now being offered 11/10 whereas I thought 6/4 was value previously on same race dynamics, but not 11/10 so, at time of writing,  I've declined to play.  I dont know if bet frod rules are same as Hil ls, suggeste you phone them. Good luck
Report Swayne • February 3, 2014 10:37 PM GMT
I meant to include after arguing they refunded me. Interestingly, they at first said it was now revert SP, I said no, after they offered 4/5, I said no, and argued that the guy on phone at HQ said he saw no reason why shop should not refund (but at managers discretion), they finally did refund......hard work...
Report Homeugopuppy • February 3, 2014 11:46 PM GMT
Yea will have to give them a ring and find and and like you say is disappointing cos didnt think t2 affected the race in any way cos thought it would just be slow away and no danger, all value has now gone with odell being odds on

Affects my Odell/Whiterock and Odell/Aghaburren forecasts too, as you all say, Dave's withdrawal made virtually no difference
Report woodmanchester • February 4, 2014 8:39 AM GMT
Some favs look over-priced with Betfred. evs Burgess Borna (should excel over this trip), 5/4 Mustang Blitz (can confirm recent superiority over Lode Henry), 5/2 Scala Dromin (out to prove catching Blonde Razor in Prestige no fluke), 13/8 Candlelight King (smart, recently beat main rival Hather George and should leave last week's tame effort behind), 11/10 Droopys Odell (everything points to him.) Done a couple of doubles and accas.

Already got 8/1 Razldazl Katie antepost but liking the look of 'Crooks 4/1 Proper Fancy, as a saver. She toyed with fav Akerview Gem in the heats and worth the risk she can repeat that impressive effort.

Of the early non-Sky races, some smart performers go to traps like Golden Wonder and Droopys Jarrow. Don't think bookies will give anything away, though. After Sky, Lister seems good with useful looking prospects Jordans Brianna and Coolavanny Fish, who should beat a not-firing Ryma Boca, imo.

Good luck!

Going allowance varied between -30 and -70 yesterday's BAGS, strange. Six T3 winners and outside runners seemed a bit more prominent than inside, but I wouldn't worry about it. Weather forecast cold but should be dry.

Good luck!

22.15.   You have to think that 1 and 2 are here to make up the numbers.  In the case of 1 she ( trainer ) was coming up anyway so might as well bring him too and, in the case of 2, she's a local ( dog ) and not too much trouble to attend.  So, by that logic it is a four-dog race.  Lilly in tp 3 has pinged from this box before and must be fancied to do so again.  4 has no recent look around, 6 has no look around at all, so that leaves 5 to contest with Lilly in 3.  Lilly pings and it is all over for me.

Report woodmanchester • February 5, 2014 6:36 AM GMT
Sounds like you had a good night, Fatty. Well done! Don't think that one dog in the marathon wants that much further though. True, made up an immense amount of ground on Burgess Borna and not beaten that far, but Borna held it all the way to the back straight, approaching pick up. Not one for me, anyway.

Very pleased with Droopys Odell, led at the bend and the Whiterock forecast. Likewise with Candlelight King, although treading water close home. Hather George nearly nicked it, didn't get the run and unlucky.

Pleased with Burgess Borna, Scala Dromin and Golden Wonder, some crazy early prices.

Greenwell Lark didn't get the run but when she reached the fourth bend in a clear third place, thought my each-way antepost money safe. Don't ask me how Sharies Miller overhauled her from that position.

Mustang Blitz found one too good and unlucky to be bumped by Lode Henry, who moved off from the rails rounding the second bend. Blitz only beaten a length, cost me a 20/1 acca.

Still a nice profit on the night, including bets lost antepost. What might have been with Greenwell Lark and Mustang Blitz, though
Report Swayne • February 5, 2014 7:43 AM GMT
interesting that 365 were by far first out with price for Borna and went 8/13, and some came out around that slightly sho writerter, but the baldfrod came out Evs and Lad's 4/5. did not back her as not a fan of first time at track short prices, but thought boldfrod was big value (I dont think or write that very often)
