Seems Musical Gaga is definitely coming over and Locnamon Bridie looks set to have her final race of the season Saturday after all, on the back of her superb victory in the Irish St Leger over Tyrur Sugar Ray and Jaytee Hellcat |
By:
Locnamom Bridie non runner shame. Hopefully she'll be back to defend the Christmas Oaks.
Starting to really look forward to it now. |
By:
The entry really is excellent. Apart from dogs already mentioned: Bitches race should still be good despite the absence of injured Locnamon Bridie, as Kerrching says. Melodys Diamond, Rockburst Pearl, Tasmanic Jaxx.
Elsewhere, likely are Ardfert Thunder, Skywalker Farloe, Tyrur Sugar Ray, Glenanore Dancer with invasion of Exocet, Daddys Knowsbest, Sawpit Sensation and Droopys Ed Moses. Four could be travelling over for the 850: Musical Gaga, Afew Dollars More, Aayamzabella and Castlehill Aris. Probably missed some other big names, there are so many of them! ![]() The highlight of last year's inaugural meeting Sparta Maestro v Ballymac Eske. This time it could be Ballymac Vic v Droopys Jet in the 550yds. ![]() |

NIGHT OF STARS DRAW DELAYED
26/11/2013 The draw for the Night of Stars programme has been delayed due to one of the runners being declared ineligible on technical grounds. Exocet was last week withdrawn from the Essex Vase as he was reported to be off-colour. Connections then entered the dog for the Night of Stars and he was one of the six runners selected for the Dandelion 575. However, according to British regulations he is ineligible as dogs withdrawn from a race must have a trial to prove their well-being before being entered for racing in the future. Exocet had not had a trial and so he was due to be given a trial on Tuesday night. The draw could not take place before that happened and so it was decided to put back the draw to Wednesday morning. * The full draw will be carried on Talking Dogs as soon as it is made available by Shelbourne Park. |

Probably best card you've ever seen? Get a life woody. Last year's was better for once. Card is not that great.
By:
Seems i'm on my own, my mate said last year better too. Maybe no Slippery Robert and Derby winners (wasnt last year) but runners-up and every race great strength in depth every race, imo.
850 last year Future Boy, reckon this year's race better Sprint Big Casino. Rate it much hotter now Puppy races, quarters last year, semis this year, just as good Bitches great Borna Gem last year and College Maybe. If Bridie had raced, better. Still got Rockburst Pearl. 575 Abbeyville Tipp and Isabels Boy. This year greatly harder for Tipp against Exocet, Hellcat etc 750 In-form White Soks Roks but that about it. Look at it now, record holder Airforce Duke, Shanless Becky and Ed Moses. 525 great last year until race stopped. Knockglass Billy was winning (Warhawk out with the washing) Billy still on card this year, like other participant Droopys Jet. 550 Ardfert Thunder won, on card again. Panther, Camas, North Bound (on card again) replaced by Vic, Homeless Boy, Farloe Skywalker and Van Rooney. Just as good, imo. Okay, Sparta Maestro versus Ballymac Eske was exceptional but that didn't make it a better card. Please tell me now last year was better and to get a life, please. Must surely be, at least, equal? |

It is some novelty to have an all open race card on a Saturday night in Shelbourne!
By:
The sprint is poor enough. Trap 1 making his sprinting debut........how did he get in.
By:
Think its a great sprint and All About Ya could even win it. Watched Farloe Calvin early recently and that can sprint!
By:
Not watched, matched
By:
I just think the sprint should be for sprinters.
Ballymac Matthew won the Peggy Kelly, Knockglass Billy top class sprinter, Cloughtaney Gift in because he was runner up to Rioga in the Bar One. Savanna 2 SSO'S around Drumbo. Cluxtons Free -English raider. All about ya wins texacloth puppy derby 525 in Newbridge. |
By:
All very interesting and competitive, every race. I'm impressed with the card anyway. Win/lose or draw, sure it will be worth all the expense
By:
It's a super card and the place will be rocking.

If i'd backed Exocet for the Essex Vase, i'd be very annoyed. Been withdrawn when fav for a major competition before. After withdrawn from the Romford event, he soon trialled at Coventry to clear him for a crack at 10k Shelbourne. Should never have been entered for the Essex Vase so soon after the Eclipse, in the first place, imo
