I find it annoying that they say i need to pay Premium Charge because i use their product and they give me a platform to make money yet they dont seem to think the same rules should apply to them with greyhound racing.
What i will say is ALL the firms with the exception of 365 welch on the online side of their levy which is unnacceptable imo and it should be made compulsary and point of consumption.

So the said firm should be Greyhound fans first choice, particularly where they match the best price available. Punters need to vote with their feet.

stow if they let us,most greyhound lads would close every other account and just keep a 365 account, chance would be a fine thing

I suspect lots of people did not realise that the firms weren't paying levy on online bets. I wonder what the shop/online proportions of bets are now.
Report patrick starr September 25, 2013 9:24 PM BST
i didnt realise it stow, just assume when you see lads, joes n billies paying it was from the entire business and not just the shop estate, how that welching fkin dwarf can sleep at night i dont know given the shops they have now

Betquack never paid anything as far as i can see but simply put because they sponsored that Premier League GOBATA where pushing they decided to turn a blind eye to it and instead constantly whinged about betfair on other forums.
Report DONEMYLOT September 26, 2013 10:09 AM BST
awful stuff. a real chance for someone at one of the firms to use this if they have the balls
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 26, 2013 10:12 AM BST
and whoever made the levy voluntary is to blame, like seriously did they think a bunch of greedy money grabbing ****s where going to put their hands in their pockets to pay something they don't have too Plain it should mandatory if you want to be taking bets on and showing greyhound racing [shops and online]
Report bbc2 September 26, 2013 11:23 AM BST

Few thoughts.

Surely its inevitable tracks will now be closing (by 2030). Logic: Cant keep 140 races a day, £100 to the winner, madness.

Lets say BF take 30K , 10 times a night twice a week on any given card.

600k taken and for the sake of the argument exactly 1% commission taken is profit (yes some people will pay PC but lets say that covers running costs)

Making 6K a week.

If a track then said look we are nearly making ends meet but not quite, we will have to close.

This place faced with the option to pay 1-2K "levy" a week or lose the profit...would they seriously let it close down?

And yes others hold responsibility to keep things going too...but surely the majority of "the money" is on here.

Dont you just get the feeling having time to reflect, possibly with a bit of a hand from antis, we are about to lose a few tracks?

Swaddle.......In the past Betfair used to hold Q and A sessions where members could submit questions online. Twice I raised this very subject with them but unfortunately nobody else bothered so they could easily ignore the points raised.
