Probably laid a big un I'd say. 4/6 is pretty short but what on earth is going to beat her, other than herself? If you take out the Irish runners, what are you left with, thats a viable alternative? The market could cut up pretty badly. Never look a gift horse in the mouth!

the only thing it does is give you bigger prices about ew options, of which there may be plenty of unsexy names to choose from.

saying that, Im worse off than pf at the mo, so may even cheer them home for woody

...but 4/6 is the equivalent of 2/7 to qualify from the heats, then 2/7 to win the final. Only raced in one marathon Derby night and dont think 56.06 an aeroplane time for 894m. Indeed, 33/1 outider Barley Bussell didnt get the smoothest of runs and only beaten a shade over 3 lengths. Easy for Power to go 4/6, i'd be a layer, too, at those odds, imo

Still think Musical Gaga unbackable. The event may revolve round the Irish participation. If they dont come, some fair each-way prices like 20/1 Blonde Reagan, 25/1 Ayamzabella and 33/1 Buglys Billie

What, no Irish? 4/6 Musical Gaga outright could be a price now. Dont think we will be seeing the 12/1 Tango or 20/1 Reagan again, either

All not running, Volcano, Ballymac Swift, Priceless Pilot, Razldazl Marilyn, White Soks Rox, Fabulous Shanty, Hometime Honey, yet Musical Gaga still the same price as before, 4/6. As start of thread says, what a joke that was!

Could be, but they kept shortening Volcano in particular, quite dramatically. I did e-mail you PF and you didnt say no invasion, either?

you gotta be crackers to back stayers / marathon comp's before closing and acceptance in my view. if you remember last year St Leger something like 8 out of 10 long AP favourites by price did not run due to season, injury, out of form etc . the books love it, dont feed the vultures!!!

Dunno what's wrong with O/C. Can do without trawling through each individual betting site, thanks anyway Hillcrest.

Evens Musical Gaga, eh, Flappy. Good for the big hitters, beyond my budget though and think i've found a couple at decent prices, so preferring those. Especially as Musical Gaga badly drawn out in trap 5 for a railer and needs to continue her good early spurts, never used to produce them but looks very smart nowadays.

Would have had 12/1 Farloe Tango if i knew the Irish weren't coming. Last night Power suspended betting (therefore 5/1 not guaranteed), so had to have some 9/2 Tango hoping he'll stay, price still seems fair enough coz if showing Derby form, his tremndous middle gears should take him to the front. Hills think he'll stay anyway, only 11/4 with them.

Other shot, 20/1 Aero Gaga each-way. The old favourite has never been better, in my humble opinion and looks good to reach the final anyway, coz not convinced this is the ideal trip for likely favourite Incitatus, thats the impression i got seeing him in this coutnry, although i believe he's won over a long stretch in Ireland. Thinking trial stakes winner Ayamzabella a more likely finalist and nearly betted her at 16/1.

Good luck!

Incitatus is growing on me woodmanchester.  He's won over 924 at Harolds Cross, has a decent Irish card and has been given time to acclimatise and settle over here.  Mark Wallis over-did the grief ( for me ) about Aayamzabella being too far off the rail in 4 - I still think she might ping and lead all the way.

I'll never doubt Mark Wallis again!  I don't think I've ever seen a dog do such a thing more than once in my lifetime ( Aaayamzabella sheering left towards rail on his first stride out of the four box.  Another great run from Musical.

Fatty, theyve clipped Emoski into 9/2 but still 6/1 Musical, bit surprising.

Sparrow, yes Incitatus ran well and stayed strongly ( i was wrong there) but has even more to find than Farloe Tango, who has 7 lengths to make up on Musical, strictly on winning times posted alone. Personally though, think the final will be a bit closer than that if Tango gets clear run. Really should be right up there early if showing his Derby pace but we all know he's enigmatic and capable of a clock or being a monkey.

Despite criticism, i see Blonde Reagan is there defending his title. Huge price, rightly so, but could be worth coppers each-way, you never know.

Can only think of Scurlogue Champ who successfully defended his title?

I thought that Ericas Equity won it twice, although in the back of my mind I didn't think it was in consecutive years, although that seems unlikely.

You can get at least 14/1 bar two but hoping, somehow, 9/2 Farloe Tango beats Musical Gaga. Considered about the evens money saver forecast Musical to beat Tango, looks highly likely really but letting it ride
