Very little betting through just now, but here's how i see it anyway.

Looks a great Summer Cup to me.
Heat 1 Alien Planet has been absolutely flying round Sheffield and at about 6/1, he'll do for me. Hot heat but has the draw with other fast railers Smart Bid and Taranis Rex drawn too wide, imo, so will be disappointed if he doesnt, at least qualify. As said, Rex and Bid poor draws, so sole wide Zoos Caprice could stay on to be a surprise finalist

Heat 2 Mags Gamble is very smart at best but could be tricky with railer Fermoy Henry likely to move left into him from the "coffin box". Longwood Fantasy bad drawn for a railer also. Got a feeling qualifying places could be at a premium here, a reason for going Alien antepost, not Mags.

Heat 3 Lemon Pluto is plenty wide enough in T5 but fast and classy, could offset draw but a shade risky. Paradise Martini, another classy performer, would certainly make a race of it, at his best. Head Iton Hayesy is not the force of old and Fridays Shane has ferocious chasing pace but essentially a spoiler, so left this race alone too, for antepost purposes.

Puppy competition

Heat 1 Strategic Review, about 8/1 antepost, has a fine chance to qualify if clearing the T1 dog, Brookside Ace, while Droopys Odell has claims on form but awkard draw for a railer.

Heat 2 Calzaghe Jack will be many people's idea of the outright winner with a track record at Coventry and bidding for five wins in a row. The current 4/1 looks reasonable and will have to wait see if i'm going for him or Strategic, will be best-price dependant.

Heat 3 Sure the vast majority will focus on good prospects Coolavanny Turbo and Kerris Hawk here but one that may have got in under the radar is the well drawn and strong Droopys Isaac, about 33/1 antepost. Cant see his winning but not a shock if qualifying, imo and could be a sporting hope each-way, 1/4 the odds first three, in the decider.

416 competition

Heat 1 Lil Risky, about 5/1 antepost, has the draw to overcome but this popular performer is well upto the task. He faces decent rivals in the shape of Gone To Carrhue and Mottos Impact though, so will have to bring his A-game.

Heat 2 Not sure Chester Lad is suited to Monmore, many say railers have the advantage over 416m with the traps so close to the first bend, but his races here were very early in his career. All things considered, came down on the side of Risky outright.

Heat 3 Guinness Sky has a good chance to reach the final but for betting purposes, having a poke at 33/1 Cape Impact, each-way 1/4 the odds first three, similar situation to Droopys Isaac in the Puppy event. This Cape Impact chap is deffo fast enough, but needs to plug on.

Good luck!

Youre right Metro, all events wide open, roughly 5/1 the field but rather have that now, than a 5/2 shot in the final. If they dont make it, simply pick again, no sleep lost

Alien Planet only caught by Zoos Caprice coz Smart Bid led early and Alien took a long time to get passed. Trophy his and a 6/1 winner for me, if he draws red, imo, with Mags Gamble, Lemon Pluto and Paradise Martini all crashing out.

The on-course betting told us Mags and in the stayers, Hather Sherlock couldnt win, couldnt give them away.

You could well be right Fatty but think Alien can start better and still wins if taking the lead before halfway. Hopefully, Shane wont be near enough the front until its too late. Hope he doesnt take any dogs out again

Got a few dogs though, mainly 6/1 Alien Planet in the Summer Cup. Fingers crossed he misses the T1 dog and it should be oi oi!

Got two in the Puppy final, 8/1 Strategic Review and 33/1 Droopys Isaac (each-way). Must be in with a fair chance but very small investments.

Had bigger investment 33/1 Cape Impact (each-way) in the 416m final but you can still get 20/1 that anyway. Sure he can show more early speed than in the heats and if his conqueror there and hot favourite Guinness Sky misses it, think Cape could cause a shock.

Good luck!

Could do no wrong really. Very pleased with Alien Planet, easy enough once mastering the early paced T1 dog, as expected.

Strategic Review also did the buisso. Bad draw but overcame it in fine style, brushing off the T3 dog, forging to the front early and romping home. Even got the each-way place money with Droopys Isaac.

But out of luck in the 416m with Cape Impact. As considered, hot favourite Guinness Sky wasnt away and Cape was first to show but crowded and bumped out of it. Hoping the winner, Mottos Impact, is a moral for Airlie.

Good day at the office! Happy

Well done woody I knew that pin would come good eventually Cool

Did a nice lay of t2 dog in 416 race as even money was a crazy price with it being an iffy trapper and short run to the bend
