What do we make of this lads? Too short to back now surely. Awesome dog no doubt and great performance to put some promising dogs to the sword in the Juvenile but i still think, probably foolishly, that hes not even the best dog in the Draper kennel. I have a massive soft spot for Eden Star and if he got back to his best id back him to beat Eske at Wimbledon all day long.
Have only backed Bubbly Phoenix ante post so far but looks like this tendon injury may have ended his chances. If Ballymac Vic got the green light for the Derby him and a fully fit Eden Star would be what i would want to be on at this stage but havent backed either yet.
Never known a year like it where its nearly April and im not massively involved ante post! Any thoghts?
As for Eskes price, if u could b guaranteed he would break like that every night then maybe but he wont so i could nt touch him at 10/1 at this stage! He is bound to miss the kick a few nights and get in bother. A deserving fav probabaly at this stage but a bit of an overreaction i think in his price and could nt back him at 10s on the back of a win where everything fell right on the night for him

Phoenix as a sore wrist, its a heart breaking problem My bitch had one 4 months off come back flying two runs later gone again 4 month off get them back flying again two runs later gone again it goes on and on and on .
Back to eske 10:1 think there worst bets to be had where all waiting for him to fall at wimbo where he shouldn't suit ain't happend yet I can't back him at 10/1 myself had every chance to back him at 20/1 16/1

I would back the dog at 2/1 if you could guarantee the break he got on tuesday for all 6 rounds but you can't, its a hard track to back run top class dogs if you miss your break, and the price cut on tuesday was a nonsense imo as we learnt nothing about the dog that we didn't already know, i.e. its an aeroplane when it gets loose

as good as he looked it was a disgusting over-reaction by the firms as they always are. who didnt think he was the fastest dog likely to go for the derby and who didnt think his running through a brick wall style would make him hard to knock out? so as has been said, what was learned? what did the books see to think he has twice as much chance as he had before the race?
