we dont know what to do at work to settle this event, for ew bets and forcast bets.
plus the event (springbox) for qualifying etc |
|
By:
surely the f/c &t/c are losing bets.....could only be void if there was a technical fault which there wasnt as 1 dog fell and all others not only stopped to look but mingled as at the sough........unhappy punters but that is the fair result...
qualifying is another matter but only uncle blue goes through from that heat so wimbledon needs to decide how they chop the remaining runners....... |

Huggy, straight forecast winner with any other goes on win single surely?
|
|
By:
e/w winner goes both on win.
|
|
By:
agree with f/c involving winner slippy.......not sure it matters with e/w as bar the winner none placed so losing bets.....
|
|
By:
The place part of the e/w bet goes on the winner as well. So £20 e.w. T2 = £40 win T2.

ok....that makes sense.....

will/hills rules,
11. EACH WAY BETTING: a. An each way bet consists of two stakes, one for the win part of the bet and one for the place part. If your selection finishes first both the win and place bet is successful. Bets are settled to win unless each way is clearly stated. The place part of each way bets on greyhound racing is settled as per the following place terms. 2-4 runners WIN ONLY 5-7 runners 1/4 odds, 1,2 Where there are an insufficient number of finishers for the place terms advertised, only those runners officially placed will be treated as successful selections and bets on non-finishers will be lost |

forcast betting,
In races where a horse finishes alone, all forecast bets nominating that horse to finish 1st will be settled as a win single at starting price. All other forecast bets in the race are lost. would imagine same rules for greyhounds |

anybody seen a race where only 1 dog has finnished before ?
it was nice to see the 3 dog get up was a bad fall then to add to his woes the other 2 appeared to attack him ![]() |

SlippyBlue,i will hold my hands up if i am wrong but,
I don't see how the place part will be paid out as a win Where there are an insufficient number of finishers for the place terms advertised, only those runners officially placed will be treated as successful selections and bets on non-finishers will be lost the winner will be classed as officially placed , and paid out at full e/way odds £20win-£20 place 1/2 the odds |

As the OP, thanks for your replies. Didn't bet on the race but understand what happened now, thanks. Would have been a field day for IBAS if anyone had actually bet on the race for decent money and felt aggrieved with settlement.
Glad to hear all runners are ok. |
