Good luck Banana but dont think the pair of them will pay much more than evens, especially the seoond one. You may have to consider straight forecasts?
By:
You'd be surprised what a rev f/c double will pay...
By:
8/11 and 5/4 surely only pays about £2.20, then its half that going onto the other rev f/c?
By:
Of the 2 dogs in each, i fancy the outsider of those 2 to win...
Green Amigo is pacey enough and Westmead Meteor was very impressive last week. |
By:
I'll be watching tonight. All the best of luck Banana!
By:
Poor run from Amigo... I expected better.
By:
if im right and your bet had come off you would have won £1.16 for an outlay of £4.00........what a completly pointless waste of time......you could have just backed either of the winners as a single for a better return.....
By:
i think he would have got just over a tenner for a 4 pound outlay.
By:
Winj... Your maths are worse than mine
By:
By:
working backwards......9.30 race paid 2.14...split in half as rfc...1.07 x 4.83 (9.15 race divi) = 5.16 = 1.16 profit....is that not correct...
By:
Erm.... No
By:
how does it work.......

8/11 and 5/4 surely only pays about £2.20, then its half that going onto the other rev f/c? your pal has the same idea of the formula..... |

Learn first..... Comment after.

and i thought most gamblers knew how to work out a bet
,returns about £10.30. i.e. would have been the equivalent of a 6/4 winner |
By:
No need for that banahan, winja is one of the most helpful people here.
Anyway winja, its 4 x £1 bets, he gets the first forecast for £1,divi £2.14 in the next leg he has 2 x £2.14 forecasts on each leg of his casts, divi £4.83 payout is £2.14 x £4.83 = £10.33 so basically he got 6/4 his money |
By:
By:
that's the way to work it out if you placed the bet as a single double with a stake of £1
By:
Didn't seem that way to me Patrick
By:
How do you know Rockview Royal to beat Green Amigo would have paid £4.83?
By:
cheers patrick..... a simple explanation for a simple fella like me......
woody........the actual 2nd had the same sp as the losing selection so made an assumption... bannahan i did say in my thread “if im right” which kind of means im not sure and you cannot seriously take some moral high ground when even at 6/4 the losing bet advised was terrible value................i am 100% sure of that.... Oh........ I had to look up your dopey acronym and found it under the nerds book for keyboard warriors.......heres another i found.......WAC |
By:
Simple indeed.
Lets clarify then.... You have been on here since '03 and you have the maths knowledge of a 7 year old. I believe the WAC tag is very firmly with you you clown ![]() PMSL |

as clueless, and as popular on the dogs as the horses i see bananaman.
By:
Nice fella, imo. Still, i aint got a bad word to say about anyone

.... woody ... you lying fecker

Bannahan, your response with regards to my prowess as a mathematician has been used in the wrong context within the given circumstances......the mistake was my misapprehension of the structure of how the reverse forecast double bet was established rather than the incorrect application of a mathematical solution and as such your schadenfreude is comprehensively misplaced............you were correct however in your astute observation that I have been associated with betfair since 2003 and as is generally concurrent with long durations in a specialist sphere one gathers experience of the comings and goings of a certain type of individual and while this is a period in which you may be prolific in your contributions to the forum where your thoughts are aired and shared.....the quality and indeed success of the aforementioned contributions lead me to the understanding that you do not contain the attributes to sustained an equally long period of membership.................i therefore find it relatively simple to ignore your rather derogatory response to me in the same way i would ignore the wayward nature of a blessed child who was without the wherewithal to understand their dysfunctional behavior......however......if you would like to continue a conversation with me in person i can be found at crayford every friday.....just ask the bookmakers or further to your description you may recognise me as the one with the big feet and red nose....

Dont you two be getting like me and Irish!
. Some long words there Winja. I'm still on the first sentence with my dictionary! ![]() . I know where to come for my letter of appeal next time i get a parking ticket! ![]() |
By:
Took him over 28hrs to come up with that
![]() You should spend more time on your maths winj, your use of the English language is not the issue here. |
By:
Why are you talking to us?
By:
winja you are good at English but rubbish at maths...............only joking mate.
By:
Sure Winja is good at maths. Think he's a regular on the BAGS theme, so he must be with all that backing/laying stuff. With the forecast double, he probably thought like me the total stake wasnt £4, that's all
