A bit tough on the other big player, who couldn't find the 5th leg winner from 5 selections!

A few years ago i went to Kinsley and did the jackpot,it was a big jackpot of 25k,all the races on the jackpot card were open races and there were a few short priced favourites,to my surprise i got through to the last leg,and an even bigger surprise i held the last ticket going through.
My mate who was a trainer at the track at the time had a word with one of the bookies and told him i had the last ticket,we came to some arrangement that was fair to both parties, the race was a sprint and i was the second fav,to my horror it slept in and never showed, but for compensation i got £500 of the bookie. (the dog that i had in the last race ended up a top class dog and ran in the Derby that year) |

So for a single bet of £46,656 he retains £13,500. Should have asked him how he justifies that.
