in what is a very rare occurrence.........Kilkenny Jazenio.... 07 bitch.....races against Cairns Bolt her october 10 daughter this morning in the 12.08 at crayford..............both bitches are black and similar in weight ....mum 27 kilos.....daughter 25 kilos..........
it will be the first time i have ever seen a mum and daughter racing against each other in a competitive race.......... probably because very few bitches return after whelping a litter.......mum will probably show her daughter how to start in the race but will be passed down the backstraight by her daughter.......unless she stops to give her a kiss of course.........

never known that before winja i just read that a wondered whats the most brothers and sisters to run against each other on a track in a official race ive seen 2 in a race but cant remember seeing more than 2
my dog raced against his sister last night at crayford ......he was coming to take it up off the second but was checked by the dog in front and went lame unfortunately....his sister went on to finish 2nd.........
i had 2 in a flapping race finished 1st 2nd both came of sore after race seems they had spiked each other? couldnt make it up owner wasnt impressed at all as he only owned them 2 dogs
agree is rare, have seen it before but cant remember where and its really bugging me now thanks for that Winja

I managed to arrange a similar event for my bitch Fancy Mac at Sheffield in 2009, where she raced against and beat her daughter Creole Girl.
It was her last ever race before joining us at chez Wales where she is currently watching a recording of last nights Racing Post TV.

think ive seen it at wimbledon with dogs with the "opening" prefix.think the mum was opening bonus but might be wrong, too hungover to check.
i had three from the same litter run in a trophy race at hove one night, first and 3rd
Pete Harndon bred some rubbish recently one of which raced against the mum in A8. Have seen it a few times over the years but usually been poor class pups against bitches that shouldnt have been bred with.
