Amazed people are slagging off Paul Lawerence in this thread. From my experience he is a very good judge and provides plenty of good advice. Further he emailed the show on Friday and provided a winning tip on the 4 dog in the last race that had been 8/1 while the couch were with the 6/4 fav in trap 1. The 4 dog went off 3/1, I had taken 5, and ran very well to win on the run-in after encountering early trouble. I only won that Monkey because I trusted the advice from PL and I am sure many others did the same.   

Sometimes it seems people just like to moan.

I know pl is a hero to a lot on here safari,but to my mind he aftertimes more winners than he gives out,its like a live version of "birchys happy days" when hes on,"i backed this last week" "this gave me a trixie in 1989" blah blah blah and frankly he has never said anything before a race that makes me think hes anything other than ordinary as a judge.

Not many judges can be described as extraordinary especially when they have to make selections in every race. From my experience the selections he usually gives with the thumb so to speak always run well although he does fall into the Woodmanchester trap of first or second favourite for the races he has not studied. I have no problem with him as a guest and would be happy to see him on the show at least once a week.

Accept everything said about  RH shorties but how the feck that got beat I dunno. Probably wouldnt have been on if watching the heavy outside bias (well done to Ryves Rock for overcoming it) but jeez, what a week.

its very hard having to give an opinion on every race........sometimes in a race where you would not personally bet because dogs are badly drawn or screws or sour or running under or new trip etc........you have to make a tissue like a bookmaker and stump for your fav.....with a gun to your head........and it would not be unusual for that same dog to be track fav........

it would be refreshing if someone said you would have to be mad having a bet in this race but for a show sponsored and created by bookmakers that will never happen.......the needy and the greedy always want to bet and being residents of lazytown they need somebody to tell them what on.......

I do think they sort of say it, winja, but are paid to give an opinion. True, they could put up their nap, nb and 3 other bets, say. Hard game and I reckon they get it just about right, quite clear what some of them have actually had money on!

Quite an achievement for holloways three shorties to get beat, about 13/1 to do so.

To be fair, the going was abysmal inside but christ a couple of them were just plain awful
