Cheers TR/PS...been a while!! Hope you're well...and winning!

Although the times were slower I was more taken be Seals Babe and Ardkill Star last night and seeing as their semi's look a tad easier than the last one i'd be interested in them as far as outright goes now. Some smart runs last night tho, shapes into a good comp.

8/1 BE REAL VERY NICE being as it was only 10s the man said on the box it was about getting though and to be fair he didnt get beat far by ardkill star after trapping last !!
Report patrick starr January 12, 2013 5:56 PM GMT
im not too sure what to make of the seals babe run tbh,im leaning to the thought the form is weaker than it looks.

If you use lanrigg as a reference point,he was fetched by rockview quite comfortably from the back the week before and as a result i thought lanrigg was underpriced in the early show yesterday, especially in comparison to millwards daisy who was subsequently bet and i could see why tbh despite not getting involved personally.

The proximity of lanrigg, after being led up,has me questioning the merits of the run despite it being very pleasing to the eye if you know what i mean?!

Star Cash Simon 33-1 with billies, stand out price, (16's in most quarters) for an essex vase winner , who given the right trap has proved he can live with most of these.
Report woodmanchester January 14, 2013 12:32 AM GMT
Happy with 11/1 Bansha Mo and 12/1 Lemon Velvet, glad theyre drawn apart in the semis too. You can still get 33/1 Simon and there's no arguing would have a chance if reproducing the form which saw him win the Essex Vase

Mullins told everyone on telly he was being prepared for the final so its a matter of getting him through, even if on form he ran the same race as Bansha. Must have a big chance esp that he will break from a mid draw if needed.

Not entirely sure who to play, as Im convinced the times were all nonsense, best to play it by eye. In that case, Lemon was the most impressive to me. If can learn from that run and take the first couple of bends smoothly, must be in the final.

Dull but entirely true!

worse one we had was Snowbill Snowy (I think) at BV. We backed him every round, topped up, had more, got on more, had another few quid, drove from London to MC....ran like shyte.

Would have been cheaper if he had been w/d that morning!

It ruins the race to be fair, and she did deserve to win it, even if she could easily have been held up by Rockview.

Report irishone January 22, 2013 6:01 PM GMT
Not laughing at his misfortune. As i said p f , if you believe him , for a start how many times as he come on here , put up losers and then said "no harm done only had them for pennies" or "only small stakes" or even worse "didnt have a bet on them". Thats without the percentages being added up, hardly think covering the other 5 is going to be too profitable for him at small stakes (he never napped mo to win the comp did he ?) and it demostrates the confidence that he really had when he put up the dog. I feel sorry for those that did actually back Mo of course ! Cry
Report Winja January 22, 2013 6:02 PM GMT
seems unfair if you take a price with a week to go and a non-runner equates to sp.........there is no reward for the risk........i understand same day prices but that looks wrong....
Report woodmanchester January 22, 2013 6:07 PM GMT
Backed Mad Mash and Chief in Coral and Ladbrokes shops respectively, where the prices were found under antepost dogs, but still not sure.

Was on Bansha with Paddy Power and usually as fair as you get with refund situations
Report Winja January 22, 2013 6:18 PM GMT
bad luck woody........i think in your case mo is definetly money done but for the other bets to be sp does not appear right............in hindsight the best option was to lay mo on here for your stake and a small profit and the let her win for the cream....
Report woodmanchester January 22, 2013 6:22 PM GMT
Think liability would have been too great to lay her on here? I envisaged her drifting coz of T1 and the rest contracting in price, so would have been happy mopping up the 4/1, 16/1 and 25/1 the others
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y January 22, 2013 6:26 PM GMT
UK and Ireland Greyhounds
Ante-Post wagers are accepted on the basis all-in run or not, entered or not.

All bets placed after the semi-finals are non-runner no-bet. If a greyhound is withdrawn at that stage any bets placed after the semi-finals prior to the withdrawal will be settled at SP.

Report Winja January 22, 2013 6:29 PM GMT
she would have been odds on.......maybe long odds on after the studio has all treble napped her....not sure what you mean by liability too great ........if you had £10 lemon (dead) and £10 mo at 11/1 then you would be sitting on a potential profit of 100.........lay 30 mo at 4/5 say then you have all stake back plus four quid and a chance to win another 80 if she cops....
Report Winja January 22, 2013 6:30 PM GMT

Report irishone January 22, 2013 10:30 PM GMT
If Mo was 4/7 its likely the rest would be about 40% on here, so greening up at 11/1 he was basically koppping on the whole field at a guarenteed 4/6, (with his lemon loss)not sure i'd have been in a rush to do that having got it at such a good value price unless of course I was terrified by its draw .
Report woodmanchester January 23, 2013 2:14 AM GMT
How will bets struck after the semis be settled on the exchanges? Think the race will still be under antepost dogs? Never really had time to lay Bansha anyway and prior to her withdrawal, she probably would have been about 3.0 to lay until the market took shape?
Report woodmanchester January 23, 2013 11:09 AM GMT
