First bet:

Moss Lane @ 25/1 e/w (ladbrokes) - Think he is overpriced, compare his price to Slip The Genie who there was not much between in their 2 races over the trip in early December in my opinion. He doesn't trap and lacks pace up to the corner but fairly flies down the back and stays on run in. He has only won 1 out of 24 races which tells it's own story but if he could just turn in a better position there is easily a 31.20 or better run in him and at 25s i'm prepared to take a chance on him.

want to play 1 other is i get get those advertised prices with powers
Report woodmanchester January 5, 2013 4:28 PM GMT
Before the betting released my two against the field were Abbeyville Tipp and Tibetan Skies. Still think one of these could win this feature.

Tipp has Riverside Mary to beat in the first heat and Tibetan Skies hard to beat with normal luck. The other heat could be between Razldazl Will and Slip the Genie.

Is it four to qualify then two semis, as opposed to two through from each heat?

Earlier on the card, 3 to look out for, imo: Piercestown Liam (better than A1 at best), Swift Marathon (could put race to bed early if at peak) and Kereight King (fast and has fitness edge).

Good luck!
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y January 5, 2013 4:40 PM GMT
I wouldn't be liking Piercestown Liam's draw, he ran off the bend last time and was on the hare rail around the last 2 bends, it ain't a great race but it would be enough to put me off. The same with Swift Marathon, the draw has to be a worry that far out with buckets of early inside him. Kereight King should win if breaking level, actually i'll go as far as saying he will win if trapping level.

3 from each woody
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y January 5, 2013 5:23 PM GMT
2nd outright bet:

Stunning Buddy @ 20/1 e/w (ladbrokes) - So much for paddy powers "supposed 25/1" actually supposed prices at all. The dog has a nice touch of early and i think the long run up will be in his favour and while he has to prove he will get this far i am not worried in that regard.
Report woodmanchester January 5, 2013 6:06 PM GMT
Oh yeah, thanks NGU. Missed the last heat Crazy. Dont think the outright winner is there anyway. Still drunk from New Year! Laugh
Report woodmanchester January 6, 2013 8:39 AM GMT
Not played ante-post yet but thought Abbeyville Tipp most unlucky not to qualify.

Tibetan Skies lacks early motivation and needs to do better, but could. Still a shade disappointing after a good break, imo. Take nothing away from Gizmo Classic, big player now.

Slip the Genie, another live contender, put Razldazl Will firmly in his place.

Main two in the final heat have plenty to find on the clock.

Oi Oi 3/1 Piercestown Liam! Draws dont always matter if you get the run of the race.

Same cant be said of Swift Marathon though. Needed to ping from T5 but one of his fast starts just wasnt there and on the deck. Hope he's okay.

Always liked Kilbarry Rover but wasnt sure he would be ready. Not a good break by Kereight King and murdered at the bend. Can do better.

Still no bet but think 5/1 Tibetan Skies would be my call. Mentioned him and Abbeyville Tipp at the start and think he's got the weaker semi, imo. Just think he can be nearer the pace at halfway tonight and hard to keep out of a qualifying spot

Semi Final 1 - Tyrur Loughery @ 8/1

I think they have the front 2 in the market the right way around but they're still a bit skinny in my opinion. I don't like Slip The Genie's draw outside of Razldazl Will who will move off on the run up and last week there was nothing between them to the corner and Genie could take a bump or get driven wide. Gizmo Classic looks the better drawn of the big two but then he may not have the early to lead both Will and Genie up, he should have enough to beat Moss Lane to the corner but would not come from behind Genie (same other way) so needs Will to do his job. Riverside Mary in 2 is another who goes up to the corner well but she is another one who will move off as she is more middle on the run up, she needs to lead and even then needs to run better than the last two weeks. This leaves Tyrur Loughery in 1 with a great draw (bar the bogey box). Last week he got bother run up as Stunning Buddy cut right across him hampering him. He showed good enough pace up and to the 3rd i thought and at the price and with the draw i think he has a chance. Hopefully he can come away from the inside box and he should get a solo up, if then one of the outside boxes don't get loose he could build up an advantage over them and it could be enough.

Semi Final 2 - Shelbourne Geoff @ 7/4

I thought he ran a blinder last week, he showed big pace up to the corner, good pace down the back and stayed the trip (just a real strong dog turned 2nd). This week he has got a great draw in 6 with Ringtown Snowy in 5 going to move rails run up. There is some big early in the race in Kokoro who showed great pace up last week but he has to trap better and if he doesn't and Ringtown Snowy does he could turn into him. Stunning Buddy is another with pace to the bend but how will he cope with the 1 box and he didn't appear to stay last week. Anyway once Geoff comes away he will lead the outside and will take some beating from there. Tibetan Skies will be last on the inside to the corner and will need things to fall right for him, if they do he is a danger. Ringtown Snowy has a big run in him, he is also probably a red card waiting to happen. If Geoff turns the corner it will take a good run to beat him and the only ones who can back run him are likely to be last and 2nd last into the bend.
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y January 12, 2013 4:50 PM GMT
Tyrur Big Mike (LEGEND!!!) at Stud 525 Final - Jimmy Boy @ 9/4

The top moves middle, the 3 and 4 move rails. Murralli Junior in 2 who i'd be all over if he was in 1 will have to come away a lot better this week if he is to get a run early. With 3 and 4 looking inwards it gives Jimmy Boy in 5 a great draw as he should have the beating of Beany Tunes on his outside and can lead around. Last week he didn't trap but flew to the corner, if he traps tonight he leads. If he leads they'll have a job picking him up.

No other races priced up off course, pity it would have been interesting Grin

Difficult to see on the little screen. Knew it went hammer and tongs with that other dog early but didnt realise it was just for company.

Changing the subject PF, how dya think White Soks Roks and Oneco Cool will handle 770yds over 8 bends at skid-pan Crayford?
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y January 22, 2013 8:50 AM GMT
It's just my opinion on the race and i'm sure plenty disagree with me, i could be letting my dislike of the dog cloud my judgement but the was i saw it was if Slip The Genie had have done 30.90, 21.20 or 31.50 Snowy would have finished exactly where he was.

I enquired about a price last Monday for White Soks Roks Woody, they took days to put him in their market and naturally put him in a stupid short price. I'd say they are both too short considering they have to settle into a new kennel, new country and prove they run Crayford (i think White Soks Roks did a 4 bend trial there).

Another way of looking at it is that ex Irish runner Lode Vanquish (Saleen Islandtwo) pissed up the other night and the time was decent in comparison with the others on the night, however i wouldn't have him in the same parish as White Soks Roks or Oneco Cool, they're different class to him i'd say.
Report woodmanchester January 22, 2013 10:48 AM GMT
Cheers. Always liked White Soks but think still swaying towards Reagan at the moment. Odds likely to get better when more price up

Really like Bouncy Castle and he's getting better every run but Dalton is talking about him for 750y races already, i'd aim him at the Easter Cup after this to see if he can hack it with the big boys over 550y, i think it is worth trying.

Ashford Castle has looked very good, he had plenty of scholling and trials so was more forward than most though i'd say. Just hope he doesn't end up like Droopys Cain from Droopys Laramie's last litter.

Like Glenanore Dancer too, he stumbled just going into the back last week when about to take it up off the 2nd losing him the race.

none of the prices interest me so happy to watch the semis and see what the final draw brings.
