Firstly, this is not an attack on the Sheffield Bookmakers but the way that the SPs are returned is a joke.
For example, the 8.15 won by Grease Scolari. There were only 2 books in attendance and BDC decided he wasnt going to turn up (Maybe no cash, who knows) and because there was only 2, the SP was returned on the worse show on the 2 boards. Now Ryan, wrongly on this occasion, took a view to lay the winner and took it on. On his board at the off was 7/4. On the other board, they too had laid the dog but were only even money.Whether this was by design or laziness (Theyd got it in and just didnt want anymore) I dont know but the SP was Evens. Makes a MASSIVE difference on the&age of the races (13.36%) and costs punters (Or more likely saves bookmakers) a fair few quid. Surly the fairest way is to return the average (11/8) |

ER, this was the case at notts a few weeks back when a dog returned 1/3 in an A3 (other SPs 5/2, 7/2 twice, 5 twice)
