PANTHER RETURNS IN SHELBOURNE TRIAL
16/07/2013
He’s back! Yes, Milldean Panther has re-emerged from his lengthy hibernation and will have a new trainer when he is produced for a trial around Shelburne Park on Saturday night.
The dog was delivered to Craig Kelly in Clogherhead last Friday by Mark Heggie, the spokesman for the M & H Syndicate and he also delivered Milldean Tally to her old base with Dolores Ruth.
According to Heggie, Panther did a flying unofficial trial over 400 yards at Dundalk on Monday. “He is in superb form and I think Craig was a bit gobsmacked after the trial. Saturday’s trial will obviously tell us a lot but if all goes well he will go for the ETS Irish Derby.
Milldean Panther, has had just 18 races in his brief but brilliant career and has had only two races since April of last year. He won his first twelve races on the trot, including a brilliant Shelbourne track record of 28.00sec.
