Went into my local Korals this morning to back some dogs

WANTED:- £100 win Rei Doms Evra @ 10/3
       and   £50 double Judys Bloom @ 4/1 and Lemon Pluto @ 11/8

OFFERED:- NOTHING at those prices but I could have Rei Doms Evra @ 7/4 and the double @ 5/2 and 10/11 respectively.

What annoys me more than anything is that if I had been a punter who wanted fivers and tenners they'd have taken the bet without even ringing up, because I'm a medium punter and need P.T.L. I get NOTHING!!!!

The manager was really embarrassed but it's the traders who hide behind the telephones who get away with this. I will be ringing up Koral's customer services in a minute but will get the usual "can't discuss traders' decisions" answer.

there's loads of big betting/gambles going on over here
everyone locally knows that paddys and johnny mulls ring in for anything over 300 take out
so the stake is split up between friends over a few hours if need be
its disgusting that you have to go to those lengths
.... and there are certain individuals who make the staff quake when they walk in
.... but the bottom line is the staff don't want the hassle of ringing in either

Personally, i've never been refused any bet by any bookmaker but £50 my max. Did once risk £150 to gain a free bet on an overbroke book but even that was accepted. Think they decline when youre going in big all the time to "arb"?

thats very honest of you woody but if thats the case i dont think gambling is the game for you unless you only bet for entertainment

Yeah, dont hide the fact i'm not a high-rolling big gambler. Corals took my bet at 11/8 Pluto this morning anyway.

Good luck!

Dear Woody

We are writing to you today to inform you that we have decided to close your account.

As you will be aware until now your account has been heavily restricted and the bets that you have wished to place haven't been accepted.

Following a review of your account activity we have taken the decision based on the fact that any bets accepted will be subject to heavy restrictions and as such the decision has been taken to close the account rather than offer this heavily restricted service.

Your account will remain open for the next 72 hours so please withdraw any balance during this time. Once your account has been closed you will have to call Customer Services on 0800 731 6191 or +44208 515 2565 (outside of UK) if you wish to withdraw remaining funds.

Your sincerely,

Hill S the pretend bookie use that arb BS all the time. Basically if they are the biggest price in the market they wont lay you, which is garbage as why advertize you are biggest if you wont lay the price. You obv go to them if they are the biggest price. The shops are moderately better but sometimes takes a day or two to pay out a monkee in N London...& their online or telephone "proposition" is little more than a joke shop.  Shown up for what it is by their senior staff calling their shops "the estate"....I'd just call it "a state"

the new joke nowadays from the firms is their advertising of prices on odds checker only available online and the price in the shop being a quarter point under mainly on sports

Think Ladcrooks are £50 min over the phone anyway. They priced me out of their market a long time ago

Well Koral's customer services have got back to me after I rang to complain about not getting a bet this morning. They have said that any bet over £50 at Belle Vue is referred (Obviously a SKY SPORTS meeting makes no difference!!!) and that the prices at the time of the call were 5/2 and 10/11. If anyone in a Koral shop got the original Racing Post prices of 4/1 and 11/8 in a Koral shop this morning I would be interested to hear at what time and how much.

they have no shame.......declaring that a £50 is always referred.....makes them look a two bob firm......and they are not the only ones.....

Had £300 with Hills on Starmount Swift at 3/1 this morning (Bet accepted no problem)...beaten a SHD

The double that Korals knocked back both copping has really ruined my night :-(

Unlucky Mike. The cheers went up for Starmount Swift and looked to have it sewn up at one point

i spent nearly 2 hours yesterday trying to bet tyrur pudsy under the radar, getting hold of mates etc. ridiculous lengths to try and get a bet, really wish the government would ban the arcade machines, essentially chopping a bollock off the firms and forcing them to put the work in to take bets and make money the proper way again. why they dont just let people they respect have a half decent bet, cut it and hedge it i will never know, jeez if they respect the punter that much why not bet it on behalf of their firm themselves and make a few quid.
