The Nottingham SP return requires a bit of explanation I think. There are only two bookies who lay the favourite on a non BAGS card. One of them took a decent bet at Even Money and, shall we say, took the hump about something, so he immediately chalked up 1/3. I understand that the other bookie took a similar size bet and cut the price to 4/5. However the track are obliged to return the SP at the lowest price shown at the off.

As anybody thought to ask why a trial dog should open up evens. In these days of technology anyone can look at a dogs irish card.

Any idea why a bookie would take the hump about taking a bet? PD might come on later to explain.

Bloody hell Fatty, I have been around the block in the last 30 years or so but that is the worst I have ever seen I would say.
I got knocked back at Shelbourne a few years ago for a €300 bet at 2/1, not Hegarty the bloke standing next to him. I was just amazed, he said I saw who you were talking to. I had no idea what he was on about but apparently some random dude I was talking to on the terraces was a bit of a judge, I had no idea who he was. It won though and I got it on next door Happy
