Very interesting to see two top class hounds clash on the comeback trail, namely Farloe Tango and Head Iton Hayesy. Apparently, Tango stopped chasing in a recent trial but is one of the few dogs to have beaten Ballymac Eske and has a career record of 7 wins out of 10. Hayesy, seems to have changed kennels and like Tango, not raced since July. He was 5 out of 7 before sidelined at Hove though and his ability is undoubted.

Even with question marks over these two, hard to make a convincing case for anything else. Trewmount Snap will attempt to put the race to bed early but 500m more than he likes, not the class and could fade away. Rockview Sail was once a world-beater round Romford and would have a squeak at his best but very much in the doldrums at present.

Deffo a great race to watch rather than play in, i'd say

what price you think the two will be?

Dunno what you'll get on here but sp could be 4/7 Tango, 9/4 Hayesy and 6/1 bar.

Looking elsewhere, Outbound Conka could be worth an bet. Would have preferred a slot nearer the rails so T5 far from ideal but could get the better of Big Local early and prevail.

I see Headford Jack is tissue 9/2, would probably settle for that. In fine fettle and although Glanmire Phanter could be all the rage and very difficult to beat at best, he's prone to sluggish starts, maybe giving Jack the edge.

At Romford, i give Waspinajar a squeak to beat speedy Hazy Purty.

Good luck!

could not have farloe tango at 4/7, can easily win but don't think the trial is as good as it looks and there's pace on its inside

Many could think like you Wonder and you may get a fairer price here on the exchanges. Even Lanrigg not totally out of the equation

I have just returned. I think it is fair to say the opposition was moderate, apart from Hayesy who is rather inconsistent and had one of his bad nights. However Tango showed phenomenal middle pace after a poor start and did indeed look very impressive. He was miles clear at the pick up.

Tango turned virtually last but got a dream run up the inner and left rivals standing along the back straight. Running all over the leader Rockview Sail then, went very wide and pulled well clear run-in. Although Hayesy was disappointing, Tango advertised his Eclipse claims greatly

Outbound Conka a non runner, which should have left the way clear for Big Local but he eased in front when looking to have the race won. Reminded me a bit of Drumcove Lad's antics in the National Sprint but that used to swing wide. Wonder if the something distracts some dogs on the crest?

Glanmire Phanter easily beat Headford Jack with Swabys Tony gone at the game.

Suppose it could have been the hare-length, dunno.

Oi Oi Wasp at Romford, easy and 7/2 fantastic price. Hope you was on! Happy.
