It's okay thanks, found it on Talking Dogs. 8 Championship races and Quarter Finals of a Puppy competition

Booked. Better to be there for the inaugeral, auspicious occasion, rather than watching on IGB

The Night Of Stars clashes with the first round of the Wimbledon Oaks, so will miss likely runners Silverview Perky, Droopys Loner and Belvedere Emma etc. Small price to pay though, imo. Incidentally, looks like Rockburst Pearl is on the comeback trail in the finale at Hove Thursday night

Airforce Diva now with Wallis, could be a cracking Oaks

A close source said Ballymac Eske will not be going to Dublin. Likely reason, schedule far too tight if he reaches Eclipse final. Whether they will re-think if Eske is eliminated in the early rounds, not sure?
By:
.....that eclipse competition must be worth a lot of money if what the posted above you posted is true.....

Shaneboy if he wins at Nottingham which he looks at home at think it be about 8-10k
+ greyhound of year in the bag! He's got WARHAWK and maybe Eden to play 350m for 10k Cos he's Eden bet Irish have him in a shot too if he comes off sound tomorrow thou! |
By:
News that Mestro could be out paddy or sky mr lister grow some take the pot! for the English!
By:
Same as Eske for Sky and Paddy, Fatty, all in Eclipse. Draper would need to trial Eske too, like he did Warhawk before Irish Derby night. Heard doubtful Eden will be going either. May only be Warhawk for the English
By:
On sky tonight if anyone on the show had a pair
there ask questions tonight not ones blowing smoke up there ass ones with a bit of bite for a change not nice he nice ones |
By:
After his eclipse from the Eclipse
, seems Eske could be going for the 575yds race on the Night of Stars. Draper said he'd like to get a trial into Warhawk again and it's probable it will be the same for Eske |
By:
I would piss myself laughing if no english trained runners got accepted the way some clowns (won't name names) have been going on on some sites
By:
Not guaranteed but highly probable with the high profile dogs mentioned. Personally, think an English element would add to the excitement
By:
I never said they would not get a run, the likes of Warhawk was always going to get accepted which makes their goings on even more silly.

The inaugural Night of Stars meeting will be staged on Shelbourne Park on Saturday night with the eight Championship races carrying the hugely impressive prizemoney of €92,000. Virtually all the details have now been finalised for the night and all that remains is for the Racing Office to make the hugely difficult decision on the actual contenders for the eight races. The ambitious project has been funded by a combination of eight sponsors, generous funding from the IGB and the sale of €100 Restaurant Club tickets. As of yesterday evening over 400 people have joined the Club and they are the people who deserve most credit. The organisers set out to make this a Night of Celebration of Irish Greyhound Racing with the best greyhounds in the world competing over every distance. The result is eight Championship races, each carrying a winner’s prize of €10,000, with the remaining four races being the quarter finals of the Comerford Cakes National Puppy Stake. The trophies for the eight winners alone are quite special, being specially commissioned works from Galway Crystal and they will proudly adorn any sideboard. It is hoped that the Night of Stars will become a permanent end of season celebration for greyhound enthusiasts and the “bash” at Shelbourne on Saturday week should prove to be the ideal launch pad. The list of entries for the night grows more impressive by the day and this promises to be a real International Feast of racing. Night of Stars Committee Chairman Pat O’Donovan said yesterday: “We couldn’t be happier with the way things are going. We have received massive support from within the industry and we are looking forward to what should be one of the greatest nights on an Irish track”. As of yesterday evening there are twelve tickets available for the Restaurant at €100 due to late cancellations. These can be booked via news@igb.ie or the Call Centre on 1890 269 969. The final details of the meeting were disclosed yesterday with the announcement of the sponsors of the eight races. The official titles of the eight races are: THE NIGHT OF STARS PROGRAMME * Larry Dunne Night of Stars 350 * Connolly’s Red Mills Night of Stars 525 * Jim & Tony Lifelong Friendship Bitch 525 * Track Bookmakers Night of Stars 550 * Coillte Night of Stars 575 * Gain Feeds Night of Stars 600 * Dandelion Night of Stars 750 * Droopys Stud Night of Stars 850 |

Larry really is a great supporter of the game, already sponsors a big comp over 525y (badly needed) at Shelbourne earlier in the year and sponsors one of the races for this too.

Ballymac Eske entered in the 575
That is really disappointing as a clash with Puma is what everyone wants to see. Great to have him over but that is a bit of a damp squib. |
By:
Yeah 550y against Skywalker Puma, North Bound, Droopys Jet, Ballymac Vic
or 600y against Sparta Maestro, Kingo is what we really wanted to see. Looks like he will be up against Tyrur Sugar Ray, Isabels Boy, Exocet, |
By:
Still it will be some race considering what Sugar Ray did on his debut over the trip and then his subsequent trial, just hope he gets a good draw!!

Seems there's a strong English entry like Eske, Warhawk, Drumcove, Robles, Trend, Peggys, Gaga and Lottes, who runs at Romford tonight. Let's see what gets in.
This meeting is proving more of an attraction than the Derby to the English trainers. Already printed off my boarding cards and starting to get excited now. |
By:
Wonder if there will be a bigger crowd than Derby night? I'd better get my ticket for the stadium!

Wonder if any of the English will be trialling tonight?
Countdown to the Night of Stars with an excellent card tonight Cant see any further than Paradise Madison in the Puppy competition, but some great races on the card elsewhere, kicking off with a Scottish Derby winner Barefoot Allstar taking on the very speedy Ballyhill Sub. Later, two Irish Derby finalists, Coolykereen Imp and Camas meet but unlucky not to be in that final, Ballymac Vic should take all the beating, he really is one of Ireland's finest and a very exciting dog. Also running fast duo Bittles Bar and Refuge of Sinner. Should be a great race. Fancy Ashfield Impact on the draw against Power of God and Allen Master, think Impact has fine potential. The bitches round things of and what a super race. Just naming names, Borna Gem, College Maybe and Tyrur Wozniacki, other useful bitches too. Grand climax to watch but would like to call it. Will be watching the videos closely for going over next week |

Cremartin Lark has a right chance of turning over Droopys Alder at a price.
Forest Ralph has a lovely draw tonight. |
