I think Roses Rockin has a huge chance and have doubled him up with Woods in the USPGA.

Woods 10/1

Roses Rockin 7/2

Dunno Bannahan. You must have chances of a huge payout but i've said Twist the best hurdler in the country for a long time now. On Irish Grand National form, seems Renegade could give him a race at best but think Twist wins more races.

Theo should already have been a Grand National winner, if he hadnt ballooned the last flight at Wimbledon that time. Always very large prices, 25/1 each-way not too bad seeing as he's got ability, although he was lucky to beat Twist first round.

I have been a supporter of Olivers ever since the lads came on here and were so honest with their views, always giving us updates on how they felt about the draw and also most importantly his well being. Im just aware that Donavan (whos training i am a fan of) knows how to treat a goodun. Roses has come on the hurdling scene (which im also a huge fan of) half under my radar, backed against it last week with Billis but think Foster always has his lot revved up too early in comps. I backed Billis and Clonkeen (saver) last Sunday and would fully expect Roses to improve for another spin.

It seems Roses has the ability to crack out and lead, or stay on well. It seems to get the the 480 really well, maybe not well enough to go past should Oli lead but definately well enough to hold an advantage should he lead Oli. Would be interesting should they both qualify for the final with Roses (1) and Oli (2).  Price that up Shocked

Not getting ahead of myself at all but have told the Mrs should Tiger win and Roses qualify we will attend Sitt for the final, just hoping all come off safe and sound and would be happy to see Olivers win it should Roses not takes his chance.

Cheers for the insight Woody and Fattie Wink

Olivers Twist could still take all the beating. Normally, scoots home when away well but seems to have been easing in front. At the prices, happy enough with my 25/1 Clonkeen Theo, got a feeling anything could happen next Tuesday

Virtually all hurdlers have a quirky side but Twist has produced the goods time and time again, dont think the times are important at all. Got me to wondering about the 6/4 Twist-7/4 Adonis double, at near as damnit 6/1. Had a little pop to go with Theo alone anyway. Both finals could be blanket finishes but quietly confident

Roses looks one to follow for me, think it could really shake up the hurdling scene.

A nice recruit anyhow.

Whats all this, Roses could shake the hurdle scene up?

Look, Olivers Twist has shaken it up. Used to be foster this foster that. Its bull. Chuck enough **** and it will stick. Him and **** just used to ring each other and make their races.

This dog is quality. Theres only one hurdler north of Watford and its the best in the country.OK, its not run sittingbourne too well and I was shocked when it seemed to stop when in front but for me, it also looked not 100% which is more than well documneted.

FFS, lets have a look at the dogs last races.

WON Irish Grand National
WON Jimmy Jupp
WON OR at Hove
WON 3 dog Match Race (Clever that guys)
WON Champion Hurdle
FINALIST of Grand National.

DO you think that another dog will do this again, in the next 10 years? Will it ****.

Id bet 1.01 if the dog wins on Tuesday, they retire him. They said about the costs of going to IReland with him last time so why not go out on a high.

You forgot his 1st ever hurdle open at Sheffield when Haviton and myself spend two days going round the shops having 30 and 40 doubles with non runners :)

When your the best people are always looking to dethrone you, a few new super hurdles have been and gone during Ollies reign.

Olivers tends to find just enough to get the job done. The 9 day gap before the final is in his favour. His win % makes him hard to oppose

I haven't said a word against Oli.

I'm just saying it will be nice to have races with some proper competition for him, I'm sure the lads who own him wouldn't mind a little 2/1 about him when taking on Roses rather than the heavy odds on he often is.

I have always been a fan of the dog, just think Roses could be decent in that sphere.

Rumpole....are opinions not allowed on here, i could understand your protectiveness of Oli should I of been outspoken or rude.  Well done on your punts on Oli (owners).  He hasn't had much to beat though as he is clearly superior in his field. Some competition for him would surely be a god thing imo, in the hope he stays fit and healthy.

the dog messed about no doubt about it in my opimion its normally a very honest hurdler and ive won more than  a few quid on it.  If i was the owner though having watched the race i wouldnt be getting upset about roses being touted as next best thing id be down the bank getting the money out ready for next time they race
il be backing oli against it for the forseeable

....and as stated originally, surely the lads wouldnt mind ploughing into Oli should he race against Roses in time.

Oliver has been far from 100% in his last few races, eased on the bends, tail in the air..if he was right, he would be 40-50 spots quicker than he has been imo..we have done our very best to get him right, and hopefully he will be in the final..as for the future, there is nothing left for him, he has won it all, dont see us going round the country contesting £150 opens.

Bannahan....Roses Rockin has great flat pace, for it to win anything its going to have to learn to jump with dogs around it, and go on once at the front. We have raced it twice and beat it twice, the dog has potential but I dont personally think he will dominate hurdling, may win his share but not dominate.

Just dont see where i have said the word "dominate" Vman.

Not getting ahead of myself at all but have told the Mrs should Tiger win and Roses qualify we will attend Sitt for the final, just hoping all come off safe and sound and would be happy to see Olivers win it should Roses not takes his chance.

Just think he could do well obviously after further training and likely progression, no more no less.

Irish Grand National Champion Twist has won 7 out of his last 8 races, i think it is and dont know what else the dog could have done really, whereas Roses is still very novicey. So far, he has looked far from a natural over the sticks, but could polish up his act.

Just wait until Mill Bling Bling goes hurdling, he'll be the best since Toomaline Jack! Wink
