It's very positive that the political support is still strong. I would say that this is IDS' strongest statement to date. It's positive that the alternative option is there. Most positive of all is that Boris Johnson is really looking at this whole matter in detail, especially the viability (or non viability) of L&Q's scheme ie the delay is a good sign, not a negative. The fact that he will be making his decision in the spotlight of publicity 4 years after closure is testament to all of you that have sent e mails, attended meetings etc. No-one knows what he will decide-the Stow rests purely on his decision-but we're still in there with a chance.
